Historia
Jenna’s parents had finally given in, and there she was, at a New York club with her best friends, watching the legendary band Avenue A, carrying her demo in hopes of slipping it to the guitarist, Jake Kincade. Then, from the stage, Jake catches her eye, and smiles. It’s the best night of her life. It’s the last night of her life. Minutes later, Jake’s in the alley getting some fresh air, and the girl from the dance floor comes stumbling out, sick and confused and deathly pale. He tries to help, but it’s no use. He doesn’t know that someone in the crowd has jabbed her with a needle.

When I first started reading this series I thought my interest in the In Death Series would wane but to me each new release is highly anticipated.

This was really good!
Revisado: 06-29-23
I’ve listened to some of the enhanced audio audible has come out with and this one was by far the best I’ve listened to. I really liked the character voices and the sound effects and music interludes. The end had an exhausting list of who contributed to each portion of the audio and it made me realize that these enhanced audios aren’t easy to produce. So I look forward to hearing and appreciating more of what audible has been working so hard on in future.

All right, all right, I’ll admit I’ve always been a player in more ways than one. What can I say? Human women love to cheer for me—on the rugby field and in my hotel room after my team, the Edinburgh Rovers, has won. But my player days are coming to an end. I need an heir—and fast—if I want to hang on to my title as king of the Scottish Wolves. I’ve already decided Tara Hamilton, my new sister-in-law’s best friend, will become my lucky queen. Just one snag in my plan, though...she feckin’ hates me.

Ends in a major cliffhanger
Revisado: 02-11-23
Book was good and so was the narration. I would have avoided this one if I knew about the cliffhanger.

Good contribution to the series
Revisado: 01-13-23
I like how each novel in this series seems different than the last bringing me to discover more about the different characters as the series continues. I consider this story to have a cliffhanger in the overall storyline but since the HEA was achieved it was a satisfying conclusion. I wasn’t so happy with the narration though. Although better than the majority of narrations out there, it wasn’t as good to my ear as previous narrations in this series. I found myself skipping through the audio to get the story over with. I think though that the narration complaint is a personal preference. Overall great story.

Well done
Revisado: 07-26-22
This story was spun really well like the author had been writing for a long time even though the description says this is his first book. The narration was spot on too making it a good listen. So I gave it full stars. For me the title was a bit confusing saying it was about Alice and Owen. The author wrote some from Alice’s point of view but to me Owen clearly was the main character from beginning to end giving us much more insight on his feelings and thoughts about the world, other characters and things happening throughout the entire novel. Overall I think people looking for something new in this genre may like to give this one a try.

Fantastic
Revisado: 07-03-22
This romance story has less steam and has more time spent in a good story. I feel Nora Roberts fans would like this book because Robert’s novels are somewhat less steamy as well. Personally I like this series because i think Feehan has great writing voice and this series has love, action and a little magic. It’s so satisfying to finish a good story by a good narrator and I’ll be yet another person in line waiting to hear the next.

This one was a miss for me
Revisado: 05-08-22
I loved all the other books in the series even the spin offs but this one was different. The writing didn’t engage me the way it usually does but mostly I didn’t like the narration. Not that the new narrator had a bad character voice but for such a long running series a change in Bones’ voice really didn’t go over well with me. The entire book just felt wrong -like that’s not our Bones and this is not the story I wanted. Maybe I’ll try a paperback version of this one day.

Loved it
Revisado: 11-17-21
Feehan has such a good writer. I really enjoyed this story. This one is different than her others in that there was less couples anxt and shall we say…interruptions. There was less sci fi too. This new story has plenty of action, a greater focus on the mystery and character development.
