Historia
Cal Kestis has built a new life for himself with the crew of the Stinger Mantis. Together, Cal’s crew has brought down bounty hunters, defeated Inquisitors, and even evaded Darth Vader himself. More important, Merrin, Cere, Greez, and faithful droid BD-1 are the closest thing Cal has had to a family since the fall of the Jedi Order. Even as the galaxy’s future grows more uncertain by the day, with each blow struck against the Empire the Mantis crew grows more daring.

Romance more than mission focus
Revisado: 05-30-24
I think the author would shine in a genre of trashy romance within the star wars universe. I don't care about the heat between two characters as much as some readers. Overall it was a nice addition to characters in the game.

Historia
The Republic is decaying, even under the leadership of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, who was elected to save the galaxy from collapsing under the forces of discontent. On the tiny but strategic planet of Ansion, a powerful faction is on the verge of joining the growing secessionist movement. The urban dwellers wish to expand into the prairies outside their cities–the ancestral territory of the fierce, independent Ansion nomads. If their demands are not met, they will secede–an act that could jump-start a chain reaction of withdrawal and rebellion by other worlds of the Republic.

Eh - better getting the paper back
Revisado: 02-10-21
If you love Marc Thompson and others then I suggest buying the paperback
The narrator brought back memories of the old tv show "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" with the voice of Paul Harvey being as deadpan as possible.
Character voices are very similar which makes it hard to differentiate between who is chatting.

If you get math humor you might like this
Revisado: 01-28-20
The first half is a bit rough as the author / narrator (both the same person) takes a bit of time laying down his background.
I would say this book is geared more towards those that have taught classes like math or go to conferences where a joke like why did 7 8 9, because 7 thought 9 was a pi.
In short an enjoyable listen to while commuting.

Historia
It's kill or be killed in the space penitentiary that houses the galaxy’s worst criminals, where convicts face off in gladiatorial combat while an underworld gambling empire reaps the profits of the illicit blood sport. But the newest contender in this savage arena, as demonic to behold as he is deadly to challenge, is fighting for more than just survival. His do-or-die mission, for the dark masters he serves, is to capture the ultimate weapon: an object that will enable the Sith to conquer the galaxy.

Great story bad sound effects
Revisado: 08-26-19
Truly enjoyed the story and the narrator.
The reoccurring sound of screaming in the background was a miss for me. Sure have that one sound effect used once or twice to remind folks of the location, but not through the entire book.
