Very bad advise, this book is written to put people up for failure and (mental) health issues.

That burnout? - a) your fault, b) burnout does not exist, it's all in your head.
Feel unappreciated, overworked and underpaid? - your fault. the solution? work more, work more for free.
Am an evening person? - wrong, the Circadian rhythms/inner clock is a myth, it's all in your head. Work mornings instead.
Need to relax? - you should be working instead, exploit every free minute and interest you may have.

and that's just some of the bad advise.

Also, while the narration is fine.. someone get that man something to drink!
He sounds positively parched.

Having read the story, I knew this wasn't going to be a long listen.

There's not much to say about the story, as the book description says it all I think.

I highly enjoyed the narration and the added background effects and music.
It felt more like an episode of Radio Mystery Theatre, just with one person instead of a whole cast.
Loved it.

Loved this version of those two classic stories.

The added music background adds to the narration, which is already pretty entertaining.
Looking forward to hearing more from this narrator.

This book contains some really good starting points on how to get and keep money.
Although the examples and anecdotes are quite out of date, the general idea and ideology on how to handle money really haven't changed much.
Interesting concepts, great narration.

I really enjoyed this book.
It took me a while to get into it as some of the dialog is slurred, however, it actually adds to the charm of this book and it was worth to keep listening.
There are a few plot twists along the way that keep the story entertaining and fresh.
And yeah... what would you do if you could have everything!, for the low, low price of your soul?

Jumping in at the fourth book, I found the story a bit hard to follow.
Not being familiar with the Unicorn Daze Universe I can't say much more about the story itself. It was alright I guess, not too deep. Good as a bedtime story.

That being said the narration was by no means bad, however, it might have been beneficial for the overall presentation to get another narrator to read it; as to have a fresh interpretation of the material and to perhaps flesh-out some of the more exciting parts of the book text.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Overall I really liked the book and it gave me a good chuckle now and then, especially in the beginning.
I loved the performance and must give kudos to the narrator for keeping the tone serious, even when the book begins to drift into the (by today's standards) downright offensive (Chapter 7 "Of Women") and delusional territory (Chapter 8 "On noise").
However, I understand that when the book was written, people actually believed all that nonsense about one sex being inferior to the other; needless to say: that part of the book hasn't aged well.

That aside, the remainder of the book, in particular chapters 1 (On the sufferings of the world) and 2 (On the Vanity of existence), are highly satirical in their tone, I enjoyed them immensely, and change to deeply reflective for the chapters 3 (On suicide) and 4 (Immortality: a dialogue).

Having just started to delve into the topic of Property Investing, I found this book to be a good starting point with lots of helpful tips.
The lively presentation of the narrator helped to keep the (objectively) dry content interesting and easy to listen to.

There's really not much to say.
I enjoyed listening to this book.
Of course, it's a classic and almost everyone has heard of it.
Being only familiar with the 1960's movie version though,
it was refreshing and interesting to hear the book version at last.

Well, the story is, of course, good; otherwise, it wouldn't still be popular today.

The performance was, at times, a bit too fast for my liking.
I understand that it is difficult to decide on how to express certain written oddities like "17-".
Sadly the "Ehems" chosen, completely threw me out of the experience each time and I would have preferred a less disrupting expression (like... "seventeen-hundreds" for instance).

Apart from this though, I enjoyed listening to this version.
