Historia
When ABC News' Good Morning America asked its viewers to write essays describing true-life experiences, the network never imagined receiving more than 20,000 pages of inspiring stories. After a panel of best-selling authors and editors chose three finalists, America was given the opportunity to vote on which aspiring author's story would be published. This audiobook is the result of the most ambitious search ever conducted to publish an extraordinary life story.

Incredibly Good
Revisado: 08-20-07
I thoroughly enjoyed reading about this brave, independent young woman. It gave me a better view of how life was in Kabul and what life is like for children living amongst war. One cannot help but like and admire Farah. I always ask myself whether a book would be better to read or listen to. The advantage of listening to this book is hearing the narrator's pronounciation of afghan words.

Great for the whole family!
Revisado: 01-02-07
Our family listens to audiobooks while on road trips. It is challenging to find books the whole family can listen to. (there are no "ratings" on book/audiobooks - something I would like to see) Anyways, we all loved this book: 12yo,17yo,#2 48yos. Scott Brick is excellent as a reader with just the right amount of sarcism. The book is very funny and the plot entertaining. It was fun figuring out the companies that were being referred to and the facts presented were interesting.

This audiobook was a very pleasant listen. I did not want to put it down. The characters were likeable and the narration easy to follow. The twists of the plot were not always predictable. If you like corporate suspense, you will like this book.

Engaging!
Revisado: 12-31-05
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and plan on listening to it again. I do not know anyone that worked in the World Trade Center so it was not as emotional for me to listen to as it would be for others closer to the events. This book brought the events closer to me and made them more real. I also found the educational aspects of the book enlightening; such as, how high rise fires are fought, the architecture of the buildings, lack of communication between departments, etc. Definitely worth your time.

This audio is one the whole family can listen to and enjoy. My family and I learned many things about her life and about chimpanzees. She does a good job reading her own story and is inspiring to listen to.

A Delight
Revisado: 12-22-05
I am periodically on the lookout for an audiobook that can be enjoyed by the whole family and is appropriate for the whole family. My two daughters and I listened to this book while on a road trip and we all enjoyed it very much. It was interesting to hear about life in Switzerland in the 1930s. The characters were interesting and the book imparted good values.
