I listened to this book from a targeted ad and found it good. It’s well written and narrated but fairly basic for the genre. It’s worth your time especially if you’re new to urban fantasy.

Bobby Akart: A Pre-Eminent Storyteller

Once again, Bobby Akart provides an excellent story involving fact based actions and real world solutions. If you want to learn the basics effects of a grid-down situation while being entertained I recommend Perfect Storm 1.

I just completed the early purchase of Black Friday from Audible. What an entertaining follow up to the original series. Both the storyline and characters kept me ready for more. I highly recommend Black Friday!

Nuclear Winter 4 – Devil Storm

In Book four, Devil Storm, Author Bobby Akart, he has once again brought together real-world struggles and moral challenges no one hopes to ever face in his Nuclear Winter Series. Akart’s approach in this series is not a traditional apocalyptic thriller but it shows what happens after the bombs go off and we are left with the seldom discussed aftereffects of nuclear war, Nuclear Winter. The characters continue to develop and grow as they face getting back to their families, or struggling to keep what they have. How do we deal with tyranny when it comes knocking at our own door? Tyranny, an obstacle America has not faced in over 240 years. I highly recommend getting to know the Albright family and how they learn to survive.

Another excellent series from Bobby Akart

Per usual author Bobby Akart brings together a fresh story to an apocalypse. I’ve found all of his books engaging, entertaining, with hints of good advice.

If you’re looking for a post-apocalyptic series with a totally different angle I highly recommend The Whiteout Series.

New Madrid is a great read that spotlights Bobby Akart’s excellent research and storytelling skills. This is a thoroughly enjoyable read that provides both caution and hope.

I found out about Moon Called from reading an article of Top Ten Urban Fantasy Series. I enjoyed the characters and the main character being just a good old fashioned mechanic is a nice twist. I’m going to listen to the next book in the series to decide if it’s worth my full attention.
