Historia
Isaac Race thought he'd found a new family and home. A new Life. He had, but it's all about to be snatched away. When an ambitious enemy launches a sneak attack on the USA, his peaceful life is shattered and Isaac, by his very nature a loner, must band together with a ragtag group of survivors to make their way to a sanctuary, three states away in the depths of a vicious east coast winter.

Revisado: 01-07-25
The book is not good.
there are words and they form a story and the narrator is okay. other than that, it's just not that good at all.
spoilers:
for some reason the USA doesn't have nuclear weapons anymore. they just kind of roll over and die. how silly.

Historia
Somewhere in the toxic Bone Pits, where mechanical nightmares roam, an emaciated and wounded young wolf clings to life. Wracked with pain, driven by instinct, it crawls across the subterranean landscape, avoiding the unnatural horrors that dwell there and seeking sustenance while fending off rats, insects, and other vermin stalking it as prey.

dark, gritty, and descriptive progression survival book
Revisado: 05-05-24
I really liked this book. The main characters were struggling from a position of dismal wretchedness.
The main character is indirectly overpowered with extreme adaptability but despite that, struggles in a very powerful world.
95% of the book is their attempt to overcome their extremely difficult situation.
We get a glimpse into their future perspective and it really intrigues me for the next books.
for progression fantasies. this is definitely in my top 5 series.
no childish immaturity here.
The cursing of the secondary character is very out of place though considering its background; More apt for a street rat. I would recommend fixing that for editions.

progression
Revisado: 04-10-24
the characters are a bit bland. not enough faults.
the biggest hurdle in these progression fantasies is to not have annoying characters which they are not. therefore, 5 stars.

It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

thick and tasty
Revisado: 10-31-22
a good purchase. The book is very thick with content. it's moderately shallow, though that places it in with the highest quality of lit RPGs available. I will continue this series without hesitation.
Note to author: you should read up on how gravity and mass works. a massive object shot out at the same velocity as a light object would go further. Air resistance and inertia.

Historia
In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

story arcs present
Revisado: 09-04-22
I've listened to the first three books and I'm listening to the first book again. Why? I'm not sure.
The world is good and things are progressing.
The characters, though, are very classically harem and are shallow in character. There are a lot of gag-me interactions.
I'm moving on to listen to book two again; oh well...

Historia
In The World for Sale, two leading journalists lift the lid on one of the least scrutinised corners of the economy: the workings of the billionaire commodity traders who buy, hoard and sell the earth's resources. It is the story of how a handful of swashbuckling businessmen became indispensable cogs in global markets: enabling an enormous expansion in international trade and connecting resource-rich countries - no matter how corrupt or war-torn - with the world's financial centres.

meh ok
Revisado: 07-07-22
I've listened to the whole series.
It has elements of a good story but misses or weakly addresses a few key aspects:
-variety of personalities/perspective
-actual failures when meeting obstacles
-sexual maturity
-confrontations of unresolvable values
all in all, I probably will think little of the series.

Great ending!
Revisado: 02-18-21
This was a story of a man in his golden years given a second chance to say goodbye to his family and help future generations in the process - all while having some challenging fun!
I love that the story had an arc that actually ended. Some of these litrpgs will build up and build up with less and less character development and more and more exceptions and bypasses.
I'd like to thank the author for giving me a quality listen and wish him well in his novels to come. cheers.
