A Magic Carpet Ride!!
Revisado: 06-04-18
I didn't want the story to end. I was completely mesmerized by Katherine Webb's richly descriptive, beautiful, thought provoking, at tImes heartbreaking story. The reader brings the characters to life so much that I felt I could reach out and touch them. The author weaved a many layered story with twists and turns that I just held on and enjoyed the ride. I loved listening to this book.

Historia
When you're all that stands between the murderous past and the fate of those you love, how far would you go to save them? When Audrey Kepler inherits an abandoned homestead in rural Queensland, she jumps at the chance to escape her loveless existence in the city and make a fresh start. In a dusty back room of the old house, she discovers the crumbling photo of a handsome World War II medic - Samuel Riordan, the homestead's former occupant - and soon finds herself becoming obsessed with him.

My first Anna Romer book and I loved it
Revisado: 04-03-18
I really liked the story that the author built layer by layer. The relationships she conveyed among the characters were completely believable and made me want to spend time in their world if I could. The author consistently painted beautiful pictures of the landscape with her words which were read with emotion and passion. I have to say it, I loved the reader's accent. It made Australia come to life.
