Historia
After graduating high school and having been accepted into one of the most prestigious paranormal universities in North America, Black Veil University, everything is finally going as planned. Or so I thought before four insanely hot men crashed their way into my life—each with a unique connection to me whether they want it or not. We are tied together. Lives are turned upside down, hearts are torn and shattered, and those deep, dark secrets that I have held hostage start to slip. But when the dark shadows of my past come knocking, I may need every little bit of help I can get.

Duet Narration
Revisado: 10-24-24
I'm a sucker for duet narrations and reverse harems so I decided to get this book. The story is entertaining enough and worth a listen. My only problem is the narrators.
Bridget does an okay job but she seems to really struggle with onomatopoeia. Rather than make the sound "ugh," she pronounces the G, so it sounds like "ugg."
I genuinely don't get the hype around Jake Bordeux. Whenever he tries to do a sexy voice he reminds me of my autistic cousin who just shouts things with no tonal inflection. He also has no range. He does the same voice for every single male character.
All that being said, I still think it's worth a listen.

Historia
I run with my own pack - my four demon wolves and the two friends I would kill to protect. We might be the rejected shifters of the Vegas supernaturals, different and unwanted, but our pack is strong. Feared. Think of us as your local supernatural vigilantes. With my demon wolves secretly watching our backs, we’re unstoppable. Until the night the first rune appears on the streets. A rune that hasn’t been seen for hundreds of years, sending the Vegas supernaturals into a tailspin.

Too much action, not enough spice!
Revisado: 11-11-23
This book was just okay. There's a lot of action scenes but I personally would have liked more spicy scenes. I initially bought this book because it was under the romance category, but the romance isn't really explored. It honestly teeters the line into YA. The MFM and MMM acknowledge the chemistry between them basically just once and the rest of the time they're focused on tracking down the MacGuffin. I feel obligated to finish the series but I'll be doing so begrudgingly.

Historia
The stories were all wrong—Hook was never the villain. For two centuries, all of the Darling women have disappeared on their 18th birthday. Sometimes they’re gone for only a day, some a week or a month. But they always return broken. Now, on the afternoon of my 18th birthday, my mother is running around the house making sure all the windows are barred and the doors locked. But it’s pointless. Because when night falls, he comes for me. And this time, the Never King and the Lost Boys aren’t willing to let me go.

Not actually a full cast narration 😡
Revisado: 04-17-23
This book is labeled as a "full cast narration" which is very misleading. In general, a full cast narration means that every character has a voice actor to narrate their voice regardless of who narrates the chapter. This book is set up like a dual narration where the narrator of a chapter reads for every character in that chapter, and the narrator changes depending on whose perspective the chapter is written. As an example, when it's The Darling's perspective Stella Hunter is the narrator for every character, even the male characters; when it's Peter Pan's perspective Shane East voices every character, even the females. Because of this I was very disappointed in the narration overall. Stella Hunter and Shane East are the only good voice actors (although Shane's American accent is pretty bad and his female voice is not great either). All the other male narrators were basically whispering and it seemed like they were trying to mimic ASMR, but it just made their chapters cringey and I couldn't wait for it to go back to Stella narrating. The story overall isn't bad but it isn't great either. This is the kind of book where the smut IS the plot. I personally enjoy really spicy books but the narration took away from it. I'll probably pick up physical copies of the series because I want to know what happens next, but I definitely won't be getting the audio versions.
Spice: 4.5/5
Story: 4/5
Narration: 2/5 (a star for Stella and a star for Shane)

Not smutty enough!
Revisado: 01-18-23
I'm pretty sure the book's blue cover is symbolic for the blue balls you'll get. I really liked the progression of the story but it irked me that something always got in the way of them actually sealing the deal. I'd get excited during the spicy scenes but then was chronically blue-balled when nothing came from it! Don't get me wrong, the spice that was depicted in the book was pretty steamy, but it became really annoying when nothing else happened. The story overall was really interesting and it's definitely worth 5 stars, but if you're mainly listening for the spice be prepared to be disappointed -- especially after the final scene!
Spice: 3 / 5
