Has Down the Rabbit Hole turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes.

What aspect of Holly Madison’s performance would you have changed?

At first I was impressed by her narrator skills. As time passed I began to realize how robotic her voice is.

Any additional comments?

I read this book because I heard it held the secrets of the mansion. I wanted something light airy and thought this could be a fun read. I found myself getting angrier and angrier as the book progressed. I'm usual not a "hater" but I really am not a fan of this book. There is so many things I can bring up about this book. Firstly, all she wanted to do was trash her ex boyfriends, luckily she only has had two. Secondly, she continued to say how much smarter she was than everyone else she came across, but ended up finding her in these situations she just "couldn't" get herself out of. She also used the word could or couldn't more times than I can count and I found myself cringing every time that phrase came through my phone. Examples include: "I couldn't have been more happy. I could have never guessed. They couldn't have realized. I could have never guessed." It was more and more unsettling as the book continued. The last thing I will say, even though it is not the last issue I had with this book, it seemed all she wanted to do was explain why she came across so "bitchy" all the time, but what she ended up doing (at least for me) was think less that she was a bitch and more that she was a stuck up bitch.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

It was a little long and I think it could have been condensed.

Could you see The Hypnotist's Love Story being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I could see this book becoming a movie. It would should not be a TV series.

Any additional comments?

This book follows two women. It follows a normal women whom is getting into a new relationship and the man's ex girlfriend who is his stalker. The way I put it might sound like it could be confusing, but the premise is not confusing in away way.
Both women are likable characters. There is no 'WHAT?' moments and it's not a super exciting read, but there are times you laugh or say 'are you serious?' This review might sound contradicting, but that it how I kind of find this book .It was an okay book, but at the same time I enjoyed it. This book had some charm and a unique story that keep me listening to it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Does not have a exceptional ending. No real twists.

What does Adina Verson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator is wonderful. She makes the words flow so beautifully.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

This book was beautifully written and the words seemed to flow together. The reason I gave it a three and not higher was I was very much not in the mood for a book like this. This book kind of reminds me of 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. It is a typical coming of age story. It shows the confusion and lack of understanding of the world as seen through a 15 year old girls eyes. If you like to read coming of age stories this book is for you. Like I said earlier, the words seem to flow and it has details that make the story quite beautiful.

This book was a good read, but not up to hype. Maybe the hype of this book made it not so good for me, I was expecting more. I found that the main character annoyed me a little. Why did everyone treat him like he was about to break. They knew nothing about him, but could sense that something was wrong?

This book is a slower paced reading. This style fits the atmosphere of the book; in Winter, older couple that left the city to get away. It's a relaxing read, enjoyed.

I couldn't even get into this book. They have a nice young women on the cover of the book, but has an old German lady narrating. It's not the narrators fault. I could not even listen.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book. I saw that there were four narrators of this book, two women and two men. I made the assumption that the kidnapped girl would be narrating somewhat. That is not the case. She does at the very end. The book is narrated by the mother of the girl, the captor, and the investigator. It kept me intrigued. At times I would think 'I know what the ending with be like,' fortunately it had some twists and turns. If you are looking for a book that could we similar to 'Gone Girl' this can relate. It is not as thrilling or dark as 'Gone Girl' but I think it does the job.

Any additional comments?

First of all this book is very short, only four hours. If you are in need of a quick listen this is it. This book can be compared to 'The Fault in Our Stars' but unfortunately I could not relate to the music aspect. I loved the writing and would read more books from this author, but probably not in this series. The narrator was GREAT, but I do not think this narrator was right for the part. She seemed older instead of a high school girl.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the writing of this book, but did I miss something at the end? Who did she pick? She doesn't make a great declaration of independence or dedication to anyone so I was confused the book ended abruptly and without an answer. I did enjoy the other aspects of the book. It did make me laugh and cry.
