Historia
Jack Manton, an art dealer, and his partner, Tamsin Greene, did not expect to be targets of assassination attempts. But when they began to track down the lost paintings of Russian artist, Mikhail Brodsky, now worth millions...that is what happened. Berezin, a partially disabled, entrepreneurial Russian criminal, murderer, and art thief, employs a deadly and vicious ex-Soviet agent to follow Manton and use whatever means necessary to steal what he finds.

Much like a 20 layer chocolate cake...
Revisado: 04-19-21
This is a book that lends itself to a slow, deliberate read. The text is rich and if you zone out for even a moment, you'll feel like you missed something vital. Likewise, there can be entire sections where the slow burn is SO slow you feel like nothing is going on. All and all its a solid story, and I definitely recommend for a patient reader.

Can't go wrong!
Revisado: 04-19-21
Such an amazing story with an amazing narrator to boot. I always think accents are a hard thing to nail, but Virginia's narration made it seem so easy!

Not my favorite performance
Revisado: 04-08-21
Unfortunately wasn't a fan of the new narrator's performance. The story was great, as always, but I'd probably suggest just reading it yourself and skipping this audiobook.

Historia
Life is full of many things. Love. Loss. Heartbreak. Laughter. No matter how small, each moment has value. Then there are the big moments. The moments that define us. And the people who shape our very existence. Abel Collins is that person for me. From the very first time our eyes locked, I knew there was something about him. That he was the person that would change everything. And he did. But Abel isn’t just any man...His past is his prison. His guilt keeps him chained. His grief defines him. And now it’s up to me to set him free.

I loved it!
Revisado: 04-03-21
I cannot recommend this audiobook enough! I didn't listen to the first book, since the summary said you could listen out of order, and I never felt like I was missing something or out of the loop. I thought the narrator was a perfect fit and did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life.
