Engaging storyline, good narration

My first Melinda Leigh book. The storyline was intriguing and also smooth enough to follow. I enjoyed the narration too. A great listen of the right length.

Useful Concepts, Iffy Narrator

The subject matter includes good concepts for inspiring anyone working within an organization to help create an inviting atmosphere. Overall the book was okay, but I wouldn't call it life-changing for me. The narrator was very AI-like and the repetitive reading of a table that was included in the physical book was mind numbing, causing me to tune out or just skip ahead.

Enlightening to Update My Thinking

A great listen that helps my approach to decisions that typically cause me to lock up due to an element of the unknown or possible bad outcome. I really appreciate the small chunk audio chapters that makes it simple to consume here and there as time allows and not requiring as much time recalling what the context is when jumping back into the book. I would encourage the leaders around me, my coworkers, and those aspiring to become thoughtful, conscientious people to open up how you could grow through the concepts presented by Ms. Duke.

Such great and honest advice

We have had cats around for decades, but I learned so much in understanding and caring for our companions from this book! We recently adopted a new cat and this book isn't like instructions for building Lego because every situation and animal are different. It is more about teaching you ways to read your situation then use tools to improve your life and the cats you love and share your lives with. Awesome book with a good narrator too.

Started strong then lost me

I really enjoyed the first third or so of the book. Somewhere after several hours it lost my interest. The sci-fi/supernatural part, which I usually like in tales, started to just feel boring. My first Clive Barker book after being a strong Stephen King fan turned out to not be for me.

Great little personal narrative and music

I enjoyed this look into the thoughts and stories of Eddie and his music. It's not a comprehensive life or band story yet still a great tidbit with performances of some songs that had me pining to listen to Pearl Jam again.
