Great listen!

I really enjoyed this title.... makes complete sense and sounds very easy and practical to apply to every day life... great narration too. One of the few titles that I will listen to again and again.

thought this was super insightful and i loved the tips spread throughout... however, since so much is reliant on the pdf, I'd recommend getting the hard copy version instead.

Pleasantly surprised

listened to this for my book club and wound up liking it a great deal. very insightful, the writer does well narrating and there's some really good advice to take away from this. Besides how can u not like any business book that has multilpe references to Carl Sagan?!

Could have been way shorter

The analogies and comparisons to war and business are there if you read/listen in between the lines but overall, I wasn't too impressed. I mean - Unless you are a big fan of Jim Mattis then I'm not seeing too much value in this book. To me, much was a waste of time. Hours upon hours of hearing this man talk about his "conquests" and hearing about how great he is. That said - in the first few minutes, the author mentions that those who get promotions are those with aggressive and assertive traits and that resonated with me a great deal because of just how true it is especially when it comes to the ability to lead. People are more willing to be forgiving about a leader making a mistake than someone who hesitates and doesn't show initiative. SO there you go no need to listen to 12 more hours of this. Not helping the cause, the narrator was boring and really made this quite difficult for me to get through.

There are better books out there on the subject

This title has some good insights and you get some really good tips out of this, especially early on but way too much of the book focuses on God and religion and I'm still unsure how those concepts relate. So can Atheists never fall in love and have successful marriages? In addition, the narrator with the robotic voice didn't help any at all.

Easier said than done

I liked this listen a lot and the author does a great job narrating. At times you can't tell if the author is referring to business or personal matters because it applies to both, which I really liked as well. That said, the author's main message, while a great one, seems much easier said than done.

Must for all coaches

Anyone who considers themself a coach should listen to this. Great insights into the concept of coaching by probing and simply asking questions in an effort for the person being coached to be more engaged and empowered, which will lead to better results and faster! Also, if you could - along with listening to the book, definitely check out the video to see the coaching practices live and in action.

I've heard about this book for years but always thought it was for couples struggling with their marriage but it's so much more! I gained so much insight, which will help improve my relationship with my wife, mother, sister, friends and colleagues of the opposite sex. very well written too, Gray does a great job recapping and summarizing each chapter so key points are easily remembered. two thumbs up and highly recommended!!

I found this to be super interesting! I've read the reviews that this would make for a better read as opposed to a listen but I really enjoyed it and thought listening to all of the strengths was great to know when dealing with others who have these strengths.

The Legend Lives On - All hail the "Queen" of Rock

Freddie was a genius who was so far ahead of his time and I absolutely loved this book. Such a great listen, very well produced. Feels just like a bunch of great interviews mixed in by a narrator. So good! Not just about Freddie too though, this book takes the listener down Rock and Roll history Lane.... Loved hearing about so many other artists I like, and their connetion with the band, such as: Elton John, Boontown Rats, David Bowe, Michael Jackson, The Darkness, Spandau Ballet, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix and so many others! Absolutely brilliant. A must have for all who love Freddie and Queen.
