Historia
With the emperor Napoleon at its head, an enormous French army is marching toward Brussels. The British and their allies are also converging on Brussels - in preparation for a grand society ball. And it is up to Richard Sharpe to convince the Prince of Orange to act before it is too late. In this, the culmination of Sharpe's long and arduous career, Bernard Cornwell brings to life all the horror and all the exhilaration of one of the greatest military triumphs of all time.

I enjoy the entire Sharpe series
Revisado: 02-13-25
I usually go through the entire series every couple of years. I love listening to Sharpe rising above all his troubles and persevered. What I don't like is I've had to buy the audio books more than once. I was never given an explanation or compensation for having to pay twice for several books.

Historia
The fourth book in the NYT best-selling Expanse series, Cibola Burn sees the crew of the Rocinante on a new frontier, as the rush to colonize the new planets threatens to outrun law and order and give way to war and chaos. Enter a new frontier. "An empty apartment, a missing family, that's creepy. But this is like finding a military base with no one on it. Fighters and tanks idling on the runway with no drivers. This is bad juju. Something wrong happened here. What you should do is tell everyone to leave".

I listened to the close
Revisado: 09-27-22
I like the books ending better than the movie. It is apparent to me know how much the story is based upon Christianity. The concept of the trinity, self sacrifice, resurrection and absolution of your sins. I don't think the parallels take away from the story, in fact my seeing them increases my enjoyment.
I don't go to church so don't label me as someone looking for religious metaphors. I've read or listened to all the books many times and find a new treasure every read or listen. I hope you do too.

Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

One of the best endings ever.
Revisado: 07-01-22
I am a long time fan of Michael and his Elan books. The ending was unexpected and really resonated with me and my life experiences. I listened to Tim on many trips back and forth to the hospital as my wife Sandy bravely battled cancer and lost in 2017. I often think about the wall. I was traveling by myself when Farilane found out. Luckily, I had just pulled into a rest area to make lunch in my RV. I was literally on my hands and knees crying as the story ended. Thank you Michael for touching my soul. You too Tim. As always, you bring the characters to life with your acting and understanding.

Historia
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

Historia
Having entered the British Navy at the age of 12, Horatio Lord Nelson achieved the rank of captain at the age of 20. As captain, he was quickly recognized as a magnetic and controversial figure. He triumphed at Cape St. Vincent and the Nile, but failed at Tenefife and Boulogne. With the glories of Copenhagen and Trafalgar yet ahead of him, his ardent passion for Emma Hamilton, the wife of a British Ambassador, cast a heavy shadow over his career.
