Historia
What can a quantum computer do? If we have a sequence of 30 zeroes and ones, it has about one billion of possible values. However, a classical computer can only be in one of these one billion states at the same time. A quantum computer can be in a quantum combination of all of those states, called superposition.

Either they forgot to edit the audio, or they uploaded the unedited version. It is also somewhat redundant or maybe those parts should have been edited out.

Historia
Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

Loved it!
Revisado: 10-21-17
Peter Clines does not disappoint. The description may sound like an overused time travel trope, but it had many unique aspects to make it a very enjoyable read (listen).

Historia
Low-level entertainment lawyer Nick Carter thinks it's a prank, not an alien encounter, when a redheaded mullah and a curvaceous nun show up at his office. But Frampton and Carly are highly advanced (if bumbling) extraterrestrials. And boy, do they have news. The entire cosmos, they tell him, has been hopelessly hooked on humanity's music ever since "Year Zero" (1977 to us), when American pop songs first reached alien ears. This addiction has driven a vast intergalactic society to commit the biggest copyright violation since the Big Bang.

entertaining
Revisado: 08-06-12
I agree that this book, like the other reviewers suggest, is very much in the spirit of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, but maybe not the same quality. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others. It definitely makes some well needed jabs at the recording industry. I am not a huge fan of John Hodgman, but he was a tolerable reader.

Worth a listen.
Revisado: 04-16-12
I saw the movie and thought I would like to listen to the book too. I think the amazing thing about this sci-fi book is that it was written in 1917. Story is a little different from the movie, so it is interesting and surprising in its own right.

Not as good as the first book
Revisado: 11-04-07
I thought the first book of this series was very good. I couldn't wait to get the second book. However, the second book just doesn't have that "quality" to make the listener want to keep listening. It is not worth 2 credits. That is like paying for a so-so book twice.

Fascinating!
Revisado: 03-21-06
On Intelligence is a fascinating book. Jeff Hawkins may offend scientists who have worked long and hard on previous approaches to solving the mysteries of intelligence, but Hawkins’ theories are thought-provoking and should probably be an eye-opener to those who may very well be following the wrong paths to understanding this complicated topic. He has many excellent points and is the first one to say that his theories will undoubtedly be revised. The framework he proposes for understanding intelligence is easy enough for a layperson to understand while providing an intriguing look at how our own minds may work. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.
