Historia
From the beloved, best-selling author of All over but the Shoutin', a delectable, rollicking food memoir, cookbook, and loving tribute to a region, a vanishing history, a family, and, especially, his mother. In The Best Cook in the World, Rick Bragg finally preserves his heritage by telling the stories that framed his mother's cooking and education, from childhood into old age. Because good food always has a good story.

A great “taste” of the Deep South

I loved this book! Food and Stories make great companions, and Rick Bragg has a wonderful talent for bringing them together. He holds nothing back while lovingly telling the stories of his family, naturally all great cooks. There are recipes for many traditional home-cooked meal - some I’d love to try, and some . . . No way! Rick Bragg is the narrator for this one, and since he knows the stories best, he was great! I also have the hardbound copy of the book, full of vintage family pictures, and will be easier to cook from. Highly recommend!

Historia
President Bill Clinton's My Life is the strikingly candid portrait of a global leader who decided early in life to devote his intellectual and political gifts, and his extraordinary capacity for hard work, to serving the public. It shows us the progress of a remarkable American who, through his own enormous energies and efforts, made the unlikely journey from Hope, Arkansas, to the White House - a journey fueled by an impassioned interest in the political process that manifested itself at every stage of his life.

My Life
Revisado: 03-13-17
I deeply respect President Clinton, and appreciate this perspective view into events that I lived through as an adult. Clinton was a brilliant though flawed politician who sought to celebrate and protect American diversity of race, religion, heritage, culture, etc., believing that fundamentally we are far more alike than we are different. He recognized the equal value of women in the workplace, and had many women placed in powerful positions for the first time. He sought to make America more fiscally responsible, and the world a better place as he brokered peace in Northern Ireland and worked with leaders bitterly divided in Israel and Palestine. He took readers frankly through the events that led to his impeachment.
This book started with Clinton's early years, being raised by a single Mom in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It's all very interesting, though very detailed, so set aside a good bit of time for this one. The ONE reason I didn't give the story it' 5th star was the author's habit of naming by full name EVERYONE he wrote about.
