People with poor social skills are always saying "It's like everyone else got an instruction manual for how to act but me." Well, here's the instruction manual! I wish I would have read this much earlier.

Not a self help book.

I'm not sure why this book was recommended to me . It's not a self help book. It's more like a cathartic therapy session for the author and we the readers are the therapist, although we aren't able to point out her hypocrisy. She passive agressively resents other people for not having the same problems as her, and especially for not knowing they're supposed to drop everything and take care of her while she's pushing them away, all the while resenting other people for needing help.

everyone should read or listen. play at 1.5 speed, narrator is a tad slow paced which is why it is so long. includes the later edition so don't buy both
