Historia
Everyone refers to the St. Cecelia as “the Saint.” If you grew up coming here, you were “a Saint.” If you came from the wrong side of the river, you were “an Ain’t.” Traci Eddings was one of those outsiders whose family wasn’t rich enough or connected enough to vacation here. But she could work here. One fateful summer she did, and married the boss’s son. Now, she’s the widowed owner of the hotel, determined to see it return to its glory days, even as staff shortages and financial troubles threaten to ruin it. Plus, her greedy and unscrupulous brother-in-law wants to make sure she fails.

Tired of all the cursing and crude language
Revisado: 07-31-24
Very disappointed. Didn’t need all the crude language to tell the story. Won’t buy any more of her books.

Drawing the reader into feeling a part of the town and it’s citizenry.
Revisado: 07-19-24
The author creates such a down to earth environment of wholesome people. A realism of how things were around the time of the crash. How the townsfolk learned to survive and support one another.

Historia
When Miss Julia's regular doctor goes on vacation with his wife, leaving a replacement in his stead, Miss Julia is immediately concerned. Never one to miss an opportunity to entertain - or size up - a newcomer, she invites the charming Dr. Don Crawford, and his painfully shy wife, Lauren, to dinner. While Miss Julia and Sam both note Lauren's obvious lack of social skills, it's her friends Hazel Marie and Binkie that pick up on some of Dr. Crawford's less palatable qualities.

Miss Julia Did It Again, And I Loved It
Revisado: 02-17-23
I have seriously enjoyed all the Miss Julia books - this one included. She makes me feel as part of the family and I love to laugh at all her antics. Miss Julia, I hope you live forever!

Ann Ross is a fabulous author
Revisado: 12-28-19
This series just gets funnier and better with each new book. The storylines had me falling over with laughter. And Cynthia Darlow is magnificent in the way she produces each character. You feel right at home with each new chapter, waiting for what will happen next. Never disappointed.

So glad to have found the Miss Julia series!
Revisado: 11-12-19
As I work my way through the Miss Julia series, they get more delightful and funny with each new adventure. Ann Ross has a wonderful imagination and Claudia Hughes brings it all wonderfully to life. The whole cast of characters are wound together so carefully that you feel like a member of their community and families. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Love this series. Writer makes it real and the reader gives it life. Makes the Outer Banks a wanna-be-place and the characters become your friends and family. Can’t wait for next segment.
