did not like the male narrator

i wasn’t a big fan of the narrator alexander cendese, i felt like his female voice was throwing me off and there wasn’t much emotion when the character displayed anger or lust or anything. thou the narrator lidia doenst helped immensely on her end with narrating the story, i think i would’ve stopped listening if it was the just the male narrator.

Wow, there’s moments where I want to cry only because this book has so many cultural linguistics only I a Caribbean Hispanic can appreciate, so many layers of hidden conversations only I can understand respect and overwhelming amount of value for this in verse story telling. This needs to be recognized and shared more. I can’t help but need a mental break because I want to grasp and admire every moment, details, words Elizabeth Acevedo put into this book. You’re going to want to read it again, and again, and again. Thank you.

Unneeded for the Folk of air series but if you do happen to read/listen to this story it gives you a sneak peek of another perspective you didn't know existed. it's honestly pure hearing another side of the same story with added details to complete the original story. filling in post holes. it was great.. an added bonus.

I loved this story more than the second or first. every book in the Folk od the Air series was magical on its own but collectively made the trilogy spectacular. for 22 years I've never fallen more in love with a series like this one where each book solo or collectively sparked something in me. usually most YA series theres one or two that flat line but The Folk of the Air series, the cruel prince book 1, the wicked king book 2, the queen of nothing book 3.. it's just marvelous. Must read if you're looking for a good book or series to fall in love and remember it for always.

Tried to love it but couldn't

I wished it had the same raw power story line that Cinder (BOOK1) had. complete disappointment in character development, Cinder was the only book out of the series I'd considered worth reading the rest just flat lined.
