Scott Brick sure makes a book come alive

I have always enjoyed Tom Clancy’s work. We are many authors skip over many hours in stories that should be included Tom always includes the details and takes you through the weeds that truly makes for a full experience! Scott brick is by far my favorite narrator. He’s cool crisp easy tone and talent and voice inflection brings a cinematic picture to mind while he reads books from the greats.

Deep belly laugh funny

You will love these characters. The book is light hearted and funny! I laughed out loud at least 40-50 times! Intimate scenes are steamy. Female lead was a crack up. Male lead multi-layered. All around light book leaving me seeking out another Kim Jones book! Great narration all around!

Not your typical KA story

I love KA’s writing because she weaves in and out of her stories, with wandering facts not only pertaining to the main characters- but she beautifully includes the supporting characters as well. Reading a Kristen Ashley book is like walking through a garden and noticing all of the flowers, and the fences, and the trees and the individual blades of grass. There are details around every turn that together tell a beautiful story. She’s one of my favorites!

Just bad

The narration was poor. The story was a sleeper mixed with odd interfacing between the main characters. The love affair was so unbelievable due to the outside circumstances....just bad.

Stunned and confused

I usually love these authors together! They have always brought depth into the psyche of their characters and education about the lifestyle, and the mind set within it into their books. I usually enjoy their realistic themes, respectful Doms, safe sub themes and the humor they inject into stories. Previously very strong Dominants, Seth and Beck, were written into this book as being love sick type B (ish) men who could not do anything but baby and spoil their sub instead of give her strong boundaries. More vanilla leaning than any of their other books.
Whacky themes, wishy washy character development, a weird cult shoot out at the end that would leave them all in prison, yet they walk away unscathed. I had to fight to finish this audiobook and heard myself say, "Oh come on!" at least 50 times. There was one point in which Seth was starring at the walls with nothing to do and nowhere to go; just co-dependently sulking around Beck's apartment waiting for Beck and Heavenly to get home. I mean....... come on! This guy owns a successful business, which means there are a million responsible things he could've been doing. This book was about grief, more so than romance. It leaned vanilla more than 'lifestyle.' Read the previous books in Heavenly Rising and Doms of Her Life before this title or you'll be lost. These authors usually describe the mindset of the lifestyle or 're-introduce" characters from previous books more in depth, but it is as if you are expected to just know the characters in this dynamic circle of friends. The cliffhanger at the end was introduce in a rush......as if it were forgotten and thrown in last minute.... Christian Fox another fantastic job!! Mason's voice was way off for some reason, but you nailed the other characters ---

AWFUL

Literally ZERO character development before the intimacy started. One intimate scene after another, none truly making any sense. Felt like a horny teenager wrote this who had nothing on their minds but sex. Just bad!

Loved the integration of faith into this read

You don't often get intrigue, mixed with romance, highlighting faith, danger, heroes.....its a good read. I thought the author played it a little safe. I would have like more .......intensity! The character development was on the lighter side. This said the story kept moving. The characters very likable.

Sweet and spicy

Where I would say this book was somewhat predictable, there were twists and turns that kept me interested in the outcome and how the author would unfold the story. The intimate scenes were spicy and filled with intimacy. The ending was predictable, and not a heart clincher but the story was a nice “listen.”

Seriously likable characters....lovely story, twists turns......strength and stubbornness in both the male and female roles. Great story!
