Wonderful Story
Revisado: 12-02-24
I lw enjoy traveling to Crozet Virginia, and visiting Hary, Mrs. Murphy, WHTUCKER, and Pewter. I hadn't been in a while, so, it was nice to visit! :-) Plus, given that it's Winter in my part of the United States, and it's been cold and snowy as a result, and, I've been feeling us the weather, I thought this would be a great time to pop in for a visit! I loved the story, and the plot twists. Although one murder was more heartbreaking than the rest. This story gives great insight into the medical industry, and just how rife it is with corruption! I think you gain some insight into humanity in general as well as personal insight. I liked the narration as well, although I always enjoy Kate Forbes's work, having listened to her narration of several sarah Booth Delaney novels in the past. I can't wait to come back to Crozet! :-) Although I will say that while this story is a cozy mystery, I would classify it as "heavy reading" just because of what the plot centers around.

I loved this story, and, Cassandra Campbell as always, did a fantastic job! The story was excellent, and the plot was full with twists! Plus, as usual, the Sinful residents are always up to mischief! I love this series, and, it's a laugh-out-loud series! Stephanie Plum fans will fall in lure!

Historia
Venus Thibodeaux had a reputation for being trouble. Some said she started at birth. When she finally left Sinful shortly after turning 18, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. When she blew back into town four years later, no one was happy about her return. She immediately launched into her same old scams, picking off Sinful residents with ease before disappearing again as quickly as she’d appeared.

Fortune, Ida Belle, and Gertie are finally off to Florida on the vacation they’ve always talked about. Days filled with white sand, turquoise water, and fruity drinks are the only thing on the agenda. But when Gertie’s “hot date” turns up dead and she’s the number one suspect, they’re forced to hang up their bathing suits and shift to investigating mode.

AWESOME STORY, EVEN MORE AWESOME PLOT!
Revisado: 05-18-24
I've loved every book I've read so far in the Miss Fortune series, the this * ^iŋ't disaspoint! :-) Cassandra Campbell as usual did an exellent job with her narration! This book definitely gave me the same amount of beaughs, mystery, and pbbot twists that I'?e cinste to expect. I go-ess that obbd saying hobbds true: "You can take the boy out of the country. But, you can't take the country . of the boy." :-) ;-) Plus, I have a feeling that deputy LeBlanc will be wishing that cone could eat those words about it being quiet in Sinful the him missing it soon enough. :-) ;-)

great story as always
Revisado: 04-06-24
I loved this one! It had exellent plot twists, and a great cast of characters! I especially love Hamish's dog Lugs. This is a perfect series to read if you're an armchair traveler who wants to take a trip to Scottland. Although I will say, that, I think that the fatesare trying to push Hamish towards promotion! :-) ;-)

Historia
The aromas of wild thyme and Highland heather waft through Lochdubh, home to M. C. Beaton's eccentric policeman, Hamish Macbeth. Yet what the irascible constable smells in his latest case is the acrid scent of fear as an entire town is entrapped in something dark and deadly.... Yet as he deftly investigates the summer's high crimes and misdemeanors, he attracts the attention of his superiors. They feel a promotion and transfer will give him a larger playing field than Lochdubh. That's the last thing Macbeth wants.

it was ok
Revisado: 03-29-24
I thought the story was ok. I'm not sure why, but, I couldn't get as into it as I have with the previous books in this series. I did like the plot twist though. Still, I will say one thing. In my opinion, even as the stories get more complex, and in my view turn into a kinda cozy thriller mash-up, I'm glad that this series is still sticking to its coziness.

Great story great plot twists!
Revisado: 03-24-24
I loved the story and I loved the plot twists also! I know this is a cozy mystery series, but, I couldn't help but think of this book as a thriller. I am also endeared to Lugs, and I wouldn't be able to turn him away without feeding him too. I thought the performance was ok, but, nothing can compete with or compare to Shaun Grindell's performances. I can't wait to see what else Lugs does to Blair! If you ask me, I think he detests him as much as Hamish does! :-) ;-) haha

Good, but not as good as previous books
Revisado: 12-24-23
It was good but, not was good as the previous books. Don't know if it's just because I've listened to too much of this author at once, or what. But, I just couldn't getz into it as I could with the other books. in this series.
