Historia
The Fateful Trilogy continues with Fractured. No, it's not called Fractured because Ethan and Danielle break up, because they don't...in case you were wondering. They had thought they'd escaped most of the danger surrounding them, when in truth they've made it worse by unintentionally sparking a civil war amongst vampires. Many vampires want to protect them for discovering the cure to the curse binding their kind. However many more want to destroy them for that same discovery.

Artistic, Inspired and Impeccable
Revisado: 12-24-14
If you could sum up Fractured in three words, what would they be?
Artistic, Inspired, Impeccable
What did you like best about this story?
Unexpectedly dangerous and gripping with captivating characters who will make you forget every other vampire book you have read. Tristan once again grabs your attention and holds it until the very end. Again I am not a huge fan of audio books but Cheri has done well with choosing a narrator who ensures that you still love the story as much as if read on your own. For the second book in a trilogy I expected a little bit slower of a pace in the storyline was delighted at the contrary.
Ethan and Danielle are seamless characters who work together through turmoil both with each other and a new situation and with the outside world who threatens at every turn. Cheri has created a page turner for the readers and the audio version I constantly listened to from start to finish. I was left anticipating the next book while wanting to go back and re-listen to this one! Artistic, inspired and ingenious come to mind when reflecting on this book and I am anxious to listen to and read the third book and fully experience the ending to Ethan and Danielle’s story.

Historia
A huge fan of Jane Austen, Danielle hopes to find her own Mr. Darcy when she leaves Colorado to attend art school in London. Of course she knows it's silly to wish for that, naive even. But she's met enough males who lacked respect for women, a growing trend it seemed. And at 19...well... However, on only her second night there she gets lost and is threatened by a stalker who proves to be immune to her martial-arts training. Before she is completely overpowered, she is then saved by Ethan Deveroux.

Ingenious and Full of the Unexpected
Revisado: 07-09-14
If you could sum up Fateful in three words, what would they be?
Ingenious, invigorating, surprising
Who was your favorite character and why?
Danielle because she is so easy to relate to and likeable from the very start. She makes you WANT to follow her through this book and any others to follow.
Which character – as performed by Tristan Hunt – was your favorite?
Ethan
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, however I quickly fell in love with the characters due to the development from the author in print and the portrayal by Tristan in the audio version.
Any additional comments?
Look out Twilight fans…this book is definitely a tough competitor in the vampire world. First, I am usually wary about listening to the audible version of books especially because I love to leave the character’s personalities to my own imagination. Schmidt (author) and Tristan (narrator) definitely changed my opinion for this book as I both read and listened to the story. I can’t express enough my unexpected surprise at how well the audio version portrayed the story SO closely to what I envisioned.
Ingenious storyline filled with plenty of the unexpected with unanticipated happenings that keep you wanting more all the way to upcoming releases. At the end of the story I was ecstatic that there would be more to come as this is Book One in a series. I fell in love with each and every character especially Danielle & Ethan who were very well developed. The highlight is that this is not your ordinary vampire plot and when done will be at the top of your recommendation list for this genre. Thrilled for Book Two!
