Historia
Two half sisters, Effia and Esi, unknown to each other, are born into different villages in 18th-century Ghana. Effia is married off to an Englishman and will live in comfort in the palatial rooms of Cape Coast Castle, raising children who will be sent abroad to be educated before returning to the Gold Coast to serve as administrators of the empire. Esi, imprisoned beneath Effia in the castle's women's dungeon and then shipped off on a boat bound for America, will be sold into slavery.

I learned more about the slave trade in this book than I did in school. Good book.

Historia
In this gripping memoir of a young man, a wolf, and their parallel lives and ultimate collision, Bryce Andrews describes life on the remote, windswept Sun Ranch in Southwest Montana. The Sun's 20,000 acres of rangeland occupy a still-wild corner of Southwest Montana - a high valley surrounded by mountain ranges and steep creeks with portentous names like Grizzly, Dead Man, and Bad Luck.

It was ok
Revisado: 11-03-20
The narrator mispronounced ‘Ennis’. As a Montana resident, that was disappointing and distracting. The detail of the story was awesome; but the killings were too descriptive for my taste.

Historia
In 1912, scientist Marie Curie spent two months on the British seaside at the home of Hertha Ayrton, an accomplished mathematician, inventor, and suffragette. At the time, Curie was in the throes of a scandal in France over her affair with Paul Langevin, which threatened to overshadow the accomplishment of her second Nobel Prize. Performed by Kate Mulgrew and Francesca Faridany at the Minetta Lane Theatre, this play by Lauren Gunderson is an ode to two remarkable women.

Learned things I didn’t know before…

I recommend this to anybody who is looking for a Quick listen. Especially if you want to experience the lives of two women in a compressed way and learn things that you might not have known before.

Historia
Six years after four family members died of arsenic poisoning, the three remaining Blackwoods—elder, agoraphobic sister Constance; wheelchair-bound Uncle Julian; and 18-year-old Mary Katherine, or, Merricat—live together in pleasant isolation. Merricat has developed an idiosyncratic system of rules and protective magic to guard the estate against intrusions from hostile villagers. But one day a stranger arrives—cousin Charles, with his eye on the Blackwood fortune.

Crazy
Revisado: 12-27-18
The story is abysmal. Depressing. And somewhat predictable. The narrator was good and the saving grace.

Poorly narrated and not a god story
Revisado: 01-18-17
This narration has bad overdubs. At the end, the narrator stops and correct herself before continuing. The story feels poorly written, is quite sad, and is disturbing.

Communication Information
Revisado: 02-15-15
No ration was excellent. This book gives good information on communication. The author uses different terminology than what I have read in other communication books. The principles are the same, however, it is always good to have more tools with which to discuss communication. I think this book provides that.
