The story as a whole was good but the fairytale bs that was at the beginning of every chapter was so annoying that it really made it hard to get through the book! It was unnecessary to the story adding absolutely nothing! The narrator was hard to handle as well.

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

Although, I did enjoy the story and performance I really hated the alternating chapters with Mercy and Adam. I have noticed that several writers are doing this but it is super annoying!!!! I really hope you go back to your original style with Mercy as the narrator.

It had a great pace, never getting dull! From the airships to love story that happens between Keely and Thomas, I loved it all!!!!
What about Phil Mayes’s performance did you like?
His english accent was lovely and he did a great job with distinguishing the characters!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, the story was very good.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He was very dry and monotoned. He also did a very poor job changing voices between characters. I kept having to rewind to figure out which character was speaking. It really ruined the book for me.
