Regarding Mtn terrain, I was taught min height over an obstacle is 2,000ft AGL. But here it states 1500ft AGL within 5miles. Did it change? I looked in the FAR/AIM but only found the 2000ft rule. I’m an IFR student that’s why I ask. I want to make sure I’m not missing something. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your story. It was interesting to hear it from a different point. It was also very personal to me…
I was a newly minted EMT, less than a year on the job. Working on an ALS (advanced life support) unit, I hadn’t gone to paramedic school yet but my partner was a medic.
Working Med 4 out of Riverside City, we we’re a private ambulance company providing ALS to the area. Most fire departments had yet to adopt a paramedic program, so they contracted with private companies.
The day of the crash we were dispatched as “3rd in” stationed about 20 min up the freeway from Perris airport, we know the call was going to be intense as we were one of several ambulances in the long line up of ambulances that would keep the dispatch call rolling for nearly a minute. Upon arrival we checked in with the IC & medical unit leader for an assignment. Triaging had begun prior to our arrival & I was tasked with helping treat the severely wounded. I approached a lean handsome guy & asked his name, he replied; In intense pain “Troy Widgery” (spelling?). I told him Im going to start bandaging him & take his vitals. With help from other EMS workers, we secured him to a backboard & prepared him for transport to the Trauma center. I didn’t leave his side & I never forgot his name as that was my boyfriend’s (letter husbands) name. Troy was turned over to the ER staff & never saw him again.
Hope he’s still living his best life 🙏🏼.

Hanger Queen!

Perhaps a hanger hag! Lol
I worked on a type I ( structure) fire engine for Cal Fire, primarily a wildland department.
So I worked on a “ pavement princess!” Never went on the dirt! Lol
Or rich guys here in Newport Beach that own boats that never go out “ dock divas!
Fun episode, stay on track damn it! Lol 🐿🐿

I love when history ties in with icons we grew up with. It makes us realize history wasn’t so long ago. I have even more respect to Joel than I did before. I would highly recommend this book.

There is no doubt that the recent success of the Scarlet Knights have made most competitors sit up and take note. No longer are the days of this team being an afterthought. When it comes to the opponent, both coaches and players alike
are realizing Rutgers is a brand new team & if the Knights continue to play smart with minimal turnovers while capitalizing on recovery opportunities, then other teams have every reason to worry!
The depth is there, yes, even with a few suspensions. On the road, facing a strong team won’t be easy but the discipline that Rutgers has been playing with is often times enough to win a ball game. The talent is there so let the other guys fumble, loose control & mental concentration. Shut down the wolverines running game early!

Fresno State beat UCLA. Ohio dropped way down in the rankings! Anything is possible. This is a new era in college football.
Whatever the score board says at the end of the night, this Rutgers team has the ability to keep it close.

I Got nothing out of this.

I’m pretty open minded to dark history, stories etc.. but I didn’t connect at all with this. I gave it a 3 star overall because anyone who is willing to take the time and put in the work to write a book deserves respect, whether I think it’s good or not. I did not like the narrator’s Voice however, he sounded drunk or like an undercover cop needing a voiceover to protect his identity.
