More Fun Space Adventure

Never a dull moment, the action just keeps coming in this book. With this second book in the series, we get more battles, more gadgets, and some more wild aliens. But I was happy that our characters got to slow down on occasion so that we could get some more info into their personal lives/motives. I felt more of a connection to the characters than I did in the first book. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.

I liked this book. I was in the mood for a fun, adventurous space story, and this one gave me what I wanted. There are interesting aliens, cool gadgets, space ships battles, and tons of action. It's never boring.
My only gripe is that I wanted to learn more about the characters. They're always on the run and fighting their way out of a jam. They would get away from danger, and get about 2 seconds to catch their breath before something else attacked them and they're back to fighting for their lives again. I kinda wanted them to have some down time so they could get developed a little better. Maybe that will take place in the next book.
I listened to the audiobook version, and the narration was very well done.

Even Better than the First Book

I enjoyed this one even more than Supercarrier. I'm a sucker for massive space battles, and this book doesn't disappoint on that front. The story has kept me engaged the entire time. I'm headed straight into the 3rd book because I need to know how things wind up.

Action Packed Space Opera

I really enjoyed this book. There are a lot of fast-paced military space battles. The "Corporation corrupting and controlling the government" themes hit close to home these days. I liked several of the characters and felt their joy and pain. The narration by Mark Boyett is very well done. I enjoyed this so much I went straight into listening to the 2nd book rather than taking a break. The 2nd book is even better.
