Historia
Dani, Red, and Sasha have absolutely nothing in common, except the trail of tears bad boy rocker Peter left in his wake. That is, until Dani starts a blog about killing her ex and unwittingly sets the wheels in motion for the women's paths to collide. Bonding over past and present wounds, self-realizations transform the three heroines in a trifecta of twelve-step new age therapy that only LA can provide. In a city where discarded muses are a dime a dozen, All the Girls in Town explores the cost of loving the wrong person and the true power of friendship in reclaiming the self.

Captured LA perfectly.

I had a bit of trouble keeping all the characters straight at the beginning but once I figured all that out, the book became compelling and engrossing. It’s easily one of the best LA stories I’ve read. It’s take on fame and the luxurious life in the Hollywood Hills vs. everyone else’s life in expensive, poor-ish LA fits to a T.

Dishonor Thy Father was a wonderful crime story that kept me completely engrossed until the end! I listen to my audiobooks when I'm exercising and this one made me look forward to my workout every morning so I could find out what happened! I highly recommend. Usually I don't read this genre, but I had heard this was a great one and it did not disappoint. The narrator was wonderful as well.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Wonderful Beginning

... I loved hearing about how she survived as a youngster, but the end devolved a little bit into a romance novel. Definitely a page turner. Great performance from the reader.

Historia
The Overstory unfolds in concentric rings of interlocking fable that range from antebellum New York to the late 20th-century Timber Wars of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. An air force loadmaster in the Vietnam War is shot out of the sky, then saved by falling into a banyan. An artist inherits 100 years of photographic portraits, all of the same doomed American chestnut. A hard-partying undergraduate in the late 1980s electrocutes herself, dies, and is sent back into life by creatures of air and light.

Worthy of the Acclaim

Of course I am a treehugger and yet, despite my bonafides... I loved the stories and characters. For me, a book is good when I don’t want it to end. I think everyone will enjoy this story and the clever way it is written. It is a masterpiece in character design.
