Very lacking
Revisado: 09-19-24
There was way too much fluff in this story and it was super slow. I stopped and started this book several times. Just tell a story in a time line, quit going back and forth between time periods. As for the ending, are we supposed to assume her missing sister is under the sheet? 🙄

Historia
Phoebe West has been head-over-heels in love with her brother's best friend for as long as she can remember. Not that he's bothered to notice. Despite several mortifying attempts at seduction and a decade's worth of unrequited pining, nothing Phoebe does seems to make any impact on the man she's obsessed over since her bra-stuffing days. She knows that it's time to let him go, though just the thought is nearly enough to shatter her.

Not as good as the first book
Revisado: 09-14-24
I couldn’t really get into this book. It may have been the narration, I’m not sure. The story was ok at best. This narrator has a terrible impersonation of a male voice.

Kept me wanting more!
Revisado: 08-25-24
This series reminds me of the walking dead minus the zombies. I really enjoyed this story however I feel like the ending was lacking. Overall I enjoyed it, and didn’t want to stop listening.

They say in order to find yourself you have to go home. What if home was what you were running from? Where did that leave you? Always on the other side of the fence. Always looking in. Always wishing you were someone you couldn't be. Until one day you meet her. The one. She was my high, but she was also...My demise.

Eh…
Revisado: 04-30-24
Didn’t really care for this story. Just wasn’t my cup of tea I guess. Too much sadness and I never really felt anything for these characters. The male narrator’s voice didn’t go with the male character, the voice was older than the character.

I fell in love with her when I was 17. She brought me to my knees when I was 20. I loved her against reason. I loved her against hope. I loved her against all odds. Now she's back, a constant reminder of what I lost, what could have been. I hate her. I resent her. I still love her. Can I forgive her? Will she be my end once again or my beginning?

In this “rich, complex family saga” (USA Today) full of long-buried family secrets, Marilyn Connolly and David Sorenson fall in love in the 1970s, blithely ignorant of all that awaits them. By 2016, they have four radically different daughters, each in a state of unrest.

Way to much you on
Revisado: 04-20-24
This book should have been broken down into several. There was too much going on and too much back and forth, hard to follow at times. I forced myself to finish it because I don’t like to leave books unread. The narrator was good.

Historia
Eight months ago, I was a naive, small-town farm girl nursing a shattered heart. Then hotel billionaire Henry Wolf picked me up off the ground (literally), and my entire life changed. Now, I live in a luxurious Manhattan penthouse, and I'm starting my first company while planning a beautiful wedding to the man of my dreams. I knew these first months would bring plenty of drama. I expected the savage media attention surrounding our engagement, and I braced myself for Mama's theatrics about the wedding.

I really liked the book, however I felt like it was rushed once Violet came into the picture. Also the narrator seemed to struggle with the voices of Abby and Henry.

Historia
It all started when my brother, Paul, convinced me to go on one last family road trip across the Mother Road with him and my dad. Just like old times, right? Wrong. What Paul fails to mention is his best man, Porter, will be joining us, who just so happens to be my childhood crush and the man who broke my heart four years ago. What is supposed to be a fun family bonding experience across Route 66 turns into a war of pranks, awkward moments and bathrooms full of dirty flannel shirts and day-old beard clippings.

There’s no real storyline
Revisado: 11-29-23
I had to force myself to listen to the entire book. I kept thinking some where the story would come in. It felt like just a bunch of rambling that finally ended. I have read all of Anna Todd’s books. And this one was horrible. I love all her other books.
