Wicked Angel by Jaine Diamond is a Rock Star, best friends sister, enemies to lovers Romance told in both MC POVs, no cliffhanger and with a HEA. This is book three in the Vancity Villians series. This book can be read as a stand alone, there are characters from the previous books that are in this book so I would read/listen to those books as well to get a better overall experience, and oh what an experience this world is. But if you do read/listen to this book first, I believe that the author gives enough backstory on the characters so you won’t feel lost.

The main characters are Johnny O’Reilly and Angeline Delacroix. We see small snippets of Johnny in other books in the Dirty series and Vancity Villians series and he definitely was in need of a redemption story. Angeline was such a delightful surprise, I loved her naughty side. I love both series and it just gets better with every book. The characters are complex and intriguing and their chemistry will rock your world. I recommend this book.

Burn it Down by Julia Wolf is a fantastic. This story is book 3 in the Savage Crew series. I enjoy reading bully romances and this one did not disappoint. I listened to this on a very long road trip, it made the miles fly by in no time at all. This audio book is straight up addicting and I loved every second.

This is also a second chance romance, involving Gabe Fuller who is a popular, charismatic, hot, high school soccer star who is hiding a deep secret hurt and in the process has to distance himself from what he truly wants. Penelope Shade is a smart, sweet, feisty young woman who has been trying to forget the boy who broke her heart 4 years ago.

This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger and we get to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series.

The narration was great, pretty close to what I imagined in my head when I read the book.

I recommend this audio book for all the reasons listed above but also because Julia Wolf is such a fantastic storyteller.

Hottest hit an ever

This was one of the hottest books I have listened to recently. This story is a stand alone romance. I loved the characters, Rook and Magdalena.

Magdalena is a sweet quirky woman who is just trying to get her mom off her back about finding a husband, so she hires an unknown man to pretend to be her boyfriend for a day. She walks up to the man she believes is her date for the night and plops down $500 on his table.

Rook is “retired” from his family job and just wants to relax and be left alone, so while he is sitting in a diner, eating his food and minding his own business, a women walks up to him and offers him $500 that she insists he asked for. What’s a man supposed to do but pretend to be the man she needs and be the best boyfriend ever. Luckily his past job skill set equips him for the job.

The chemistry between these two is off the charts from the first moment they meet. This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger. This will definitely be a frequent reread for me.

Oh and Rook has two brothers and I am really hoping for their books, because they are yummy.

I recommend this audible book for all the reasons listed above but also because L. Ann is such a fantastic storyteller.

Luca is amazing

I knew before I started this book that it was going to love it and as expected L. Ann did not disappoint. I keep thinking that her writing and story-telling cannot possibly get any better but it does each and every time.

I knew it would be one that I would drop everything to read. I wanted to slow down and savor the story but I could not put it down. This book is straight up addicting and I loved every second. I loved the chemistry between Luca and his leading lady. Everyone needs a Luca in their lives.

Exquisite Scars is book 4 in the Forgotten Legacy series and can be read as a stand alone, however there is crossover into the previous books in this series and you will enjoy the book even more if you read the previous books.

This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger and we get to catch up with the characters from the previous books in the series.

I’ve read all of L. Ann’s books, and this audio book does not disappoint.

Straight up addicting story

Hula Girl by Lara Ward Cosio blew me away. Once I read the synopsis, I knew it would be one that I would drop everything to listen too. I wanted to slow down and savor the story but I could not put stop listening. This book is straight up addicting and I loved every second.

Ava is a young woman who works at a law firm and is a dedicated and hard worker, she is so dedicated that she has to be forced to take a vacation on the lovely isle of Maui. While trying to relax and enjoy her vacation she meets a swoony man named Ford who is a surfer and loves the island life.

Both Ava and Ford have had some tough times in their personal lives but they have an instant attraction to each other which is why they decide on an island fling. The questions come when they have Togo back to their real lives what happens then.

I’ve read all of Lara Ward Cosio’s books, which I love and this is my first audio book of hers, it does not disappoint. It was the perfect mix of everything I love in a book.

Fantastic story

I knew before I started this audio book that it was going to love it and as expected Julia Wolfe did not disappoint. I keep thinking that her writing and story-telling cannot possibly get any better but it does each and every time.

This is a story about Grace Patel and Sebastian Vega, they are 18 year old high school seniors who are both had tragedies in their past. Grace’s tragedies had her leaving her high school and moving to another country with her parents. Two years later another tragedy has Grace and her mother coming back to the US and Grace having to go back to her High School. Grace has changed and is hoping to get thru her senior year but her past has other plans. This book is from Graces POV.

Sebastian Vega is a hot, angry brooding young man who seems to be anywhere Grace happens to be. We do not get Sebatians POV during this story and usually I am not a fan of single POV.s but with this story I am so glad it was written this way, it helped to keep the mystery of Sebastian going.


Sebastiabn and Grace have an instant attraction which Grace tries to avoid, but she is drawn to him much to her annoyance.

Their attraction It isn't straightforward and not without its hiccups but it is a journey as a reader you NEED in your life! Start A Fire is an absolutely fantastic audio book.

This book deals with two scenes of dubious consent (one in the past and one in the present) and may be a trigger for some, just know that Julia Wolfe dealt with the issue in a sensitive manor.

Epic conclusion to the series

This is the final chapter in the love story between Gabe and Harper. L. Ann brings this series to a deserved and satisfying end with Broken Halo, an epic conclusion with lots of big, dramatic moments that will satisfy all the fans who went along the emotional journey these characters have been on for the past year and a half. Although this book centers around Gabe and Harper, other characters from the previous books make cameos, so if you have not listened to the previous books, listen to them now it will make your enjoyment that much better.

Will Gabe and Harpers love for each other withstand the greatest test? Will they find their happy ever after? This is their final journey through a world where it’s never to late to discover your purpose and to live your dreams.

To say that the best has been saved for last is an understatement. I had so many mixed emotions reading this book. I wanted to know what happens, however that means that the story would end. My curiosity won out and I finished in record time. The story does not disappoint. If you are looking for an audio book that has an awesome storyline and swoon worthy characters, then this is for you.

This final book takes you down one more road with Gabe and Harper it is paved with successes and roadblocks. Their lives have taken such drastic turns since they first met that you wonder if they will be able to take any more.

I highly recommend this audio book and this author for anyone looking for a positively amazing journey that will have you wishing for more. This book is straight up addicting and I loved every second.

The audio narration is spot on and exactly how I envisioned the main characters sounding.

I absolutely loved this audio book. This story is interconnected with Forgotten Legacy series. I loved the characters, Dex Cooper and Siobhan Rawlings. Dex is a charismatic hot bassist who is in denial of his addiction. Siobhan is a sweet feisty young woman who is best friends with Harper (Harper is the female lead in Tattooed Memories). Dex officially meets Siobhan on a train when they were in their early 20’s and they feel a connection right away, it’s love at first sight. Then one day Dex disappears with no explanation leaving Siobhan devastated. Several years later he comes back into Siobhans life and the sparks between them are still there. But there are dangerous dark secrets that Dex is keeping and Siobhan can’t afford to trust him.

This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger and we get to catch up with the characters from the previous books.

I recommend this audio book for all the reasons listed above but also because L. Ann is such a fantastic storyteller, this book has so much emotion in the written words, I stayed up way past when I should have been sleeping to finish this book, it was that good.

Fascinating show

I am new to these gals podcasts and I found this one fascinating. I have always wondered about whether my career choice was because of a past life. It really made no sense why I chose it and loved it, something I may have to look into. The yoga comment was funny and I hate to say it but something similar happened to me at my one time try at yoga 😂. Keep up the good work gals and I will be checking out your previous podcasts
