I see his truths every day, and it’s hard not to fall for the enemy. He won’t let me escape, but I’m not sure I want to. I wanted to marry for love, but it looks like love is a lie.

This is a little too rapey for me.

It started out well, but after the female protagonists was raped, the events that follow were kind of toxic and abusive. I would have loved to see the evolution of the male protagonist but he was unchanging throughout. The female protagonists was too weak and it seems their resolution of problems was sex, sex and sex. This ends in a cliffhanger, so hopefully the second book is better.

It was ok.

Storyline was good, but what spoiled it for me was how she easily fell for Saint in spite of the hell he put her through. I generally don’t like to see very weak female portrayals in romance novels. She did not even make him grovel. This messed it up for me.
