As a villain for hire I followed those rules, facing down heroes in scripted fights to make them look good for the press and brand deals. Sure, losing every time was a pain, but the money was good. Well, decent. And it kept real heroes off my back. Well, usually.

The story built well thru the first 3 books of this series, enough that I bought 4 and 5 also. It's funny, sexy, and is an unexpected turn on the Hero/Villain relationship. Very well done.

I was not prepared for how deeply touched I would be by this book. My life has been so easy, it's hard to imagine how anyone could ride the train of devastation thru so many stops and still get off at the end of the ride able to write and world build like he has. I also learned so much about Hollywood and the level of deceit and betrayal there. I was a huge fan of B5 and Crusade, and now I know of so much more he has done, I look forward to enjoying every last bit of it. Thank you Joe for sharing this with us, your fans. Thank you Peter for a beautiful and respectful reading.

Book 7 of this series is a major step up from book 6, which was also fantastic. Aleron Kong is becoming an amazing storyteller.
I waited for the Audible edition of this book, because the narrator is just that good! Between the writing and the narrating, this book seriously rocks. I hope this series goes on for many more years, it just grows and grows.

Good author, story builds nicely and gets steadily better every book. Just finished book six, listened to all of them over the last 2 months or so. Ready for book 7, are you?

Where does The Land: Catacombs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book was really good, what's an RPG without a dungeon?? This was well narrated and moved the story along.

We got a look into the darker parts of The Land, and what evil lurks there....
What about Nick Podehl’s performance did you like?
Wow, where to start? Consistent, and the multiple different voices/accents/genders are terrific.
