Good story, weird narration

Read up to book 4 so far. The story is great and the tension always seems to get higher with each book. Kind a normal, 'nothing special', world but the characters, story, and fan service make up for it. Get ready for the pop culture references.

And no, CHAOS is always mispronounced. If you can't handle that don't hope it'll change cause it doesn't.

Good suspense with bad parts

I like the book and the final suspense the third series brings, but I'm held back from loving it for a few reasons, non-spoilers. This is the first book to use a dragon species twice in the same series, silk wings. Second, why is there a use of "woke" pronouns. This is an adventure series, not an sjw novel.

Good start to the series

There's not exactly much of a story in the first book but that didn't bother me. Seems this world needs to build itself greatly so for book one to focus on the demon side is fine with me. Kinda obvious sequel bait but it works well enough.

Roller coaster of emotions

I both hate and love the constant flux of events that came in the last 2 hours. Some made me want to stop I hated them to the point of never continuing with the story but I had to keep move. I felt forced to know what would happen next, and that ending cliffhanger. I hated that too. What was she expecting to happen?!

Anyway, onto book 2.

First impressions and thoughts up to chapter 8

The 4 women seem interesting enough on their own but for some reason I just can't get motivated to push on. Everything added up to give me a mediocre experience and I stopped before chapter 9.

The narrator was good though. Nice range between characters.

Out of the whole series so far this one has the highest quality VA. The echoing to indicate thoughts, nice diverse sounds for all the female characters, and I just prefer Jeff Hays over Nick Podehl.

Best of the trilogy... so far

I love this book the most of the series so far. The MC didn't start from nothing and it hasn't gotten to all the out of control faith wars and undead yet. Not that the others are bad but this book strikes a nice middle ground with Legion, it's current resources, and its opponents as a whole. I can't wait for another in this series.

Don't be fooled

The society depicted in this series is nothing short of a feminazi's wet dream. The unimpressive story plot can't be recovered or backed by a complete degradation of every single man in the book. The male population is treated as nothing but trash and the way you're always reminded of that every few sentences infuriates me to no end. Don't go on from here. The women and monster women only have one mindset, either despising or loving the protagonist respectively, each leaving no room for growth, complexity, or true character.

Unless you absolutely hate men or can tolerate listening to new wave feminist propaganda for hours on end then avoid this series like the plague. Guys, it's not worth eventually hating yourself just to listen to a subpar story.
