Wonderful book and narration

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I found it very compelling and the narrator, Linda Graves, really brought the book to life for me. There were times when I was so into the book that I didn't want to get out of my car - I wanted to keep driving and listening. I found the story very interesting - someone who chose the path of motherhood when she was expected (and groomed) to be a mathematician by her parents - and at a time when women were expected to be more than "just mothers". The passage where she first held a little baby and marveled at the wonder of it all was very moving and Linda read that section so beautifully. The narrator did a great job of distinguishing each character and I felt she really connected with the rhythm and tone of the author's writing. I highly recommend giving it a listen!

What a lovely story. Listening to this story made me think of all my beloved pets that have long since left this world, and I'd like to imagine them having an afterlife as depicted in this book. Linda Graves read the story with such heart and compassion and each character was distinct and very enjoyable. She handles the heart of the story so well along with the wry humor that is sprinkled in here and there. She is very enjoyable to listen to as you go on this journey with Tucker. The writing has some beautiful descriptive passages that make you pause and rewind to hear them again, and the setting and characters are described so vividly that you can really picture it all as you listen along. This is a good story for all ages and would be great for a family road trip!

I really enjoyed this book - it was a compelling story with suspense and even some travel tidbits. I really got swept up in the journey of Tom and Meg and the twists and turns that this book took. I also felt like I got to take a mini vacation as the author did a great job of describing the different locations. Great choice for the narrator too! She really brought the book to life for me - she just was Meg! She had great nuance, the characters were very clear, and she really conveyed the love that Tom and Meg had for each other. A great adventure!
