Great story and performance

Very dynamic story with good pacing. Had a great mix of action and intrigue. Definitely one of the best 40k stories I read in a while

One of my favorites out of 100+ 40k books read

I absolutely loved this book. For me, it's in the same tier as Eisenhorn, Ravenor, Gaunts Ghosts. it was incredibly interesting, the pacing was great, the story and character arcs were well done. It also covers a significant part of the lore. Giving a lot of insight and detail on that particular event. I thought the narration was quite good. I feel like his voice really fit the tone of the grey knights. I highly recommend this book.

good story, great narrator

The story was pretty good. Started off strong, got a little slow in the middle. But the ending really did a good job to tie it all together. The best part of the book was the narrator though. She absolutely nailed it with her voices (her male voices were ehhh, but I don't knock her for it), the inflection and emotions were fantastic. definitely worth it just for the narrator imo.

Another great story by Dan. He seems to keep put doing himself with every book. Great story, well written. Impactful and exciting characters. Great action and amazing imagery.
