Historia
Having just celebrated her 26th birthday in 1976 California, Dana, an African-American woman, is suddenly and inexplicably wrenched through time into antebellum Maryland. After saving a drowning White boy there, she finds herself staring into the barrel of a shotgun and is transported back to the present just in time to save her life. During numerous such time-defying episodes with the same young man, she realizes she's been given a challenge.

I enjoyed this book. It did not inspire hope for change in humanity lol. It has heavy themes but was well written.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A wonderful story!
Revisado: 08-15-22
This book was an entertaining read with themes that inspired reflection. The performance of the reading wasn’t my favorite. I ended up reading the paperback myself. It felt like some of the scenes were performed with a ton that didn’t match the intention of the writing to me. I liked the book better when I read it myself than listening to this performance. It was “off” in some way during a lot of interactions with the characters for me. It was distracting and would pull me out of the story because their voices sounded whiny or something. Hard to identify why but I just did not connect with the way this was read out loud.

I felt moved, motivated, and inspired by this wonderful book. I really enjoyed the author reading it herself, and I felt that her creativity poured out all around me as I listened. A great book.

Historia
Amazing prophecies were given to the Hopi Indians as well as the Mahayan of China, the Tibetans, Kikuyu of Africa, the Mayans, Aztecs and Incas of South America, and great number of North American Indian tribes. Many of these prophecies came from a "Great White Brother" who visited most of these peoples, taught them of peace, and prophesied what would occur to them until he returned in the "last days" to help build a society of complete peace in this land.

This book grew out of a series of letters to my daughter concerning various things - mostly about money and investing - she was not yet quite ready to hear. Since money is the single most powerful tool we have for navigating this complex world we've created, understanding it is critical.

Great Advice
Revisado: 01-06-19
I feel like every high school senior should be required to read or listen to this book. Great advice. It was a bit repetitive in places, but I enjoyed the audio performance by the author. It was fun, and informative, and I'm glad I took the time to listen.

Uplifting, Empowering
Revisado: 11-10-18
Overall this book was good. I felt inspired as I listened and determined to keep moving forward, reaching for my dreams. It’s hard for me to give it five stars when there were so many unnecessary F bombs. I just don’t understand the need for it. Especially in a book like this. Cursing doesn’t make things sound cooler. It’s just distracting.
