The title Dirty Crazy Bad perfectly summarized this brilliant and twisted reversed harem romance. The complicated situations, secrets agendas, and tangled of emotions pull me deeply into their depraved universe from the first page. I truly enjoyed every minute of this crazy ride and I’m eagerly waiting for the second book. Please be warned that this might be the darkest book penned to date by the author and it is not for the faint of heart.

I loved the duet narration and the performances were perfection.

Slow burning YA shifter romance

I truly enjoyed this slow burning YA shifter romance. The pack dynamics and the drama between the different fractions were interesting.

It was fascinating to understand the scavenger way of living with Rosie’s POV. My heart ached for Cadoc. He was burdened with responsibility and politics from birth. Their fated mating was a surprise for both of them. I was glad that they could overcome all of the obstacles cause by others’ expectations and pressure.

The narration was excellent resulting an enjoyable listening experience.

A light-hearted feel good romance

I enjoyed this light-hearted feel good romance. The couple was likable and their story was low angst and low drama. Shane East and Julia Whelan did a great job delivering the story. A quick feel good to romance to fill in the reading gaps.

Slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance

I really enjoyed this slow-burning friends-to-lovers romance. It was refreshing to see the reverse in stereotypical role. Rafe was the virgin hero who was the good guy that was too good to be true. Bella was the feisty heroine who was sexually assertive and living proudly. However, one horrific scandal had brought out all Bella's insecurity and vulnerability. Without notice, she was leaning on Rafe, the supportive and accepting neighbor. Rafe and Bella had great chemistry and their slow burning romance was both sweet and agonizing.

It was an excellent listening experience. Saskia Maarleveld and Nick Podehi brought the story to life.

Heartbreakingly beautiful story

After reading so many glowing reviews, I went into The Understatement of The Year with some expectations and I was not disappointed. I wasn’t prepared to be crushed by all of the emotions and heartbreak from this touching NA MM sports romance in the best possible way.

This second chance friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance gutted me. My heart ached for Graham and Rikker – one was hiding deep in the closet and the other was the first openly gay man in division one college hockey. No matter of their status, they both were stuck between a rock and a hard place. One was constantly battling with outside judgements and the other was battling with himself. It was heartbreaking to see how loving someone and simply wanting to play a sport that they loved were so exhausting. Their journey to love and acceptance was heart wrenching which made all of the sweet moments so much sweeter.

I felt the ending left me a little hanging. I would love an epilogue showing a few years after the end of the book. It would be more reaffirming to see Graham and Rikker still going strong together after all the years and see how they fared with the choices and decisions they had made at the end of the book.

One of the main reasons I chose this book was because of Christian Fox and Teddy Hamilton, two of my top favorite male narrators. They brought the book to live with their talented performance. With this fantastic duo, I’m confident that an excellent listening experience would be guaranteed.

Twisty but too slow paced

When I started the book, I didn’t realize that it’s a six book series. The story was a little too slow and wordy. Luckily the unexpected twist happened right where I was going to dnf the book every time to keep me going. I put the audiobook on as background while I craft and I was not excited to listen to it. I don’t think I’ll continue on with the series.

Rock Engle and Helen Wick’s performance were great.

Good foundation to a new world

Wolf Child laid a good foundation to a new paranormal world with wolf shifters. However, the RH romance between Ethan, Eli, Austin and Sabina was dull and lacking. There were no drama, no angst and no depth to their relationship. I was bored and the audiobook acted more like background noise when I was doing my chores.

Brooke Bloomingdale and J.F. Harding voice acting was great even though the story was a little dull.

Great beginning to a new fantasy world

I enjoyed the story but find it a little too flowery and wordy at some parts. It was ok because I usually listen to audiobooks while I’m crafting. However, if I were to read the book, I might be bored by the long winded distractions.

Justine Eyre did a good job in the narration.

Great start to a series

An excellent start to an exciting series featuring a group of interesting alphas. The story built a great foundation to the world of Silverstone with detailed description of the history of the setup. Bull and Skylar were great for each other but their biggest obstacle was the side job that Bull was trying to shield from the innocent Skylar. The danger and drama were engaging. I cannot wait to continue on the series.

Lucy Rivers did an excellent job in bringing the characters to live. A great listening experience.

Sexy and hot

After reading the Quintessentially Theirs series, the second generation’s book, I was totally intrigued by the Sascha and her five sexy men. I cannot help but to start from the very beginning of the Quintessence world.

I was totally immersed in this beautiful story which valued friendship, respect and love. Each men brought something special to their complex relationship and they balanced each other out. The mysteries and twists kept the story entertaining and captivating. I was totally engaged from the very beginning.

Shane East is one of my top favorite narrators and I was amazed with his ability to shift seamlessly from one accent to another. Hollie Jackson’s performance was also superb.
