The FMC is horrible

Cade was my favorite ML out of all 3 books, but the FML? She was atrocious. For someone who despises money so much she sure fell in love fast once she caught a glimpse of the family mansion. I get trauma but lord, this woman treated the guy horribly and he just kept crawling back. If you’re a fan of insta love after 300 pages of avoidance this book is for you lol

That makes the male narrators voice/performance much more tolerable, even somewhat enjoyable. Because… wow his California stoner vibe is just… a lot. Decent story, I like watching the story progress. 1.2x speed… You’re welcome.

::Cliffs notes: 100/10 recommend, this book was such a mind f**k in the best way possible:: It does have some really graphic descriptions of group… um… smexual activities? Yeah. That’s a good way to put it without my review being flagged. It’s not my thing but I still loved this book SO much! So if that’s not your jam, you’ve been warned. “The dirty ones” is definitely spicy, but it’s not overly gratuitous, especially given theme and plot of the story. This book is a dark and twisty mystery that I found fascinating; I can usually suss out the bad guy early on, but I literally had no idea how this book was going to end until I reached the very end. The author wove incredibly intricate and beautiful imagery into this book that I also really appreciated because it made the story more three-dimensional, which is a feat when it comes to written word. I read/listen to hundreds of books every year and this is absolutely my number 1 for 2024. Although now I’m going to have to read this authors entire catalogue so that’s subject to change!

So heartbreakingly good!

I kinda wanted to shake the FMC a few times in the beginning because she’s so stubborn, but her insecurities were realistic and as the story unfolded I understood her more. Drew is just… dude. He’s perfect. I love the two of them together and the HEA melted my heart! Loved it!

The opening epilogue scene made me want to vomit.

Tragically beautiful HEA

If you don’t cry during this audiobook you’re probably a sociopath. Just saying. It’s gut wrenching at some points, and I won’t lie I did find myself annoyed with the FMC a few times because of her stubbornness, but that’s just because I was jealous that she had Reid. Because Reid is every green flag, completely perfect book boyfriend archetype. Loved the voice actors, too, they were amazing! After a long string of audiobook duds I’m so glad I came back to Molly McAdams… she’s been breaking my heart and stitching it back together since I stumbled upon “taking chances” way back in 2011! Anyways. It’s worth the credit :)

I enjoyed everything about “vines”!

After being stuck in a rut for a while book wise, this story was such a pleasant surprise! It’s a beautiful story, the narrators are amazing, too, way above average. But yes. The moo’ing is hilarious and could probably use some work, but honestly it’s charming. Everything about this book is charming! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll spend your credits on the rest of the series because you’ll be hooked. Loved the bonus novella at the end, the epilogue had me ugly crying in the happiest way.

Why does Tatiana Sokolov sound like dug from up?

Specifically when she imitates a man. It doesn’t irritate me so much, but it is distracting because it’s uncanny…. And random AF. The book was decent too, Damon is a pretty creepy character and I’m excited to see what happens with him. Will too I guess… but mainly Damon. I love a good anti-hero.
