Historia
After a whirlwind year, Tabitha Walker’s carefully organized plan to achieve the life she wanted—perfect job, dream husband, and stylish home—has gone off the rails. Her checklist now consists of diapers changed (infinite), showers taken (zero), tears cried (buckets), and hours of sleep (what’s that?). Don't get her wrong, Tabby loves her new bundle of joy and motherhood is perhaps the only thing that's consistent for her these days. When the news station announces that they will be hiring outside competitors for the new anchor position, Tabby throws herself into her work.

Story of encouragement
Revisado: 04-19-23
I enjoyed the themes of empowerment and perseverance no matter what throughout the story. I feel there was a lot left to be desired or explored, and maybe that was the author's design for this book. Overall I enjoyed it.

Great story.

This was a great story, but I was disappointed by how short it was. I would've loved to find out more about the mysterious character and his background.

Historia
When crime reporter Jordan Manning leaves her hometown in Texas to take a job at a television station in Chicago, she’s one step closer to her dream: a coveted anchor chair on a national network. Jordan is smart and aggressive, with unabashed star-power, and often the only woman of color in the newsroom. Her signature? Arriving first on the scene—in impractical designer stilettos. Armed with a master’s degree in forensic science and impeccable instincts, Jordan has been able to balance her dueling motivations: breaking every big story—and giving a voice to the voiceless.

intriguing
Revisado: 05-25-21
intriguing, angering and frustrating story. This story has been one that I've avoided reading for years because of the context. Now that I've read it I wish that I'd done so long ago. A story of resilience and self persevervation met with difficult choices kept my interest from chapter to chapter.
