Is this even a book?
Revisado: 06-16-19
Admittedly, I have not read the book so I cannot say for certain, but this did not sound like a book to me. This was a 45 minute lecture.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Thank you JD

In this book JD Vance eloquently captures the reality of so many in this country who are effectively ignored by the rest of society. It was a relief to hear his perspective on the lives of so many Americans.

Awful and unusable
Revisado: 08-30-17
I downloaded this book with the hopes of making practical use of the information. I enjoy hearing new ideas and thoughts and new ways to do things. This book was dry, drawn out, and had little, if any, practical information as of the halfway mark in the book, when I decided to pull the plug and put myself out of my misery.
