Historia
A serious attack against Christianity by well-known newspaper editor Robert Blatchford in 1903 impelled Chesterton to seize the gauntlet of refutation. His reply was immensely successful and was the early formation of his convincing credo that is so brilliantly and cogently argued in Orthodoxy, a masterwork that was published just five years later.

Loved the story and cliffhanger. Not a feminist story but a woman’s nightmare can’t wait to read the second part

A lot of interpretations are far out, space ships traveling interstellar distances just to find gold? Seems like a job for androids and not feeble flesh cased “humans”

Historia
A century before Britain became involved in this terrible business, whole villages and towns in European countries were being depopulated by slavers, who transported the men, women, and children to Africa, where they were sold. This is the forgotten slave trade, one which saw over a million Christians forced into captivity in the Muslim world. Starting in the ancient world, Simon Webb traces the history of slavery in Europe, showing that the numbers involved were vast and that the victims were often treated far more cruelly than black slaves in America and the Caribbean.

Historia
Waiting to be rediscovered in the British Library is an ancient manuscript of the early Church, copied by an anonymous monk. The manuscript is at least 1,450 years old, possibly dating to the first century, Jesus' lifetime. And now, The Lost Gospel provides the first-ever translation from Syriac into English of this unique document that tells the inside story of Jesus' social, family, and political life. The Lost Gospel takes listeners on an unparalleled historical adventure through a paradigm-shifting manuscript.

Nice detective story line, but fantasy nonetheless.
Revisado: 12-29-22
Cool story but author makes claims about Christianity that are over simplified and made to present a one sided view. Nuisance inherently required when following biblical teachings. Authors statement about Paul down playing marriage does not take into his statements in Ephesians “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it” Both statements are to be respected, none over the other. Many other places the author makes incorrect assumptions about Christian beliefs and teachings.

Humanity on display
Revisado: 12-20-22
Amazing book! The characters were so human, their personalities, perspectives, motivations, all human, purposeful, flawed, rational, irrational.
Recommend for someone seeking real human drama.
