I’ve known I’ve had ADHD for a while over 20 years and then just now realizing I’m probably also autistic. This has been another helpful component to exploring that. I’m also a therapist. Loved it!

A highly accessible masterpiece
Revisado: 01-12-24
I have read and listened to many books on ADHD, this might be the best I’ve ever heard.
Jessica is a brilliant science communicator. Her ability to distill complex topics into highly accessible content is a gift.
Her chapter on working memory was one of the best presentations or the topic I’ve ever heard.
Her storytelling and humility will keep you engaged and wanting more.
The chapter on Intersectionality was so thoughtfully presented.
I love the chapter on relationships and making friends. I even re-listened to it with my 12-year-old AuDHD son. We had a really nice discussion about it.
I think no matter where you are in accepting ADHD, this book will help you even deeper than you thought you could go.
I am going to be listening to this again with my partner.
Thank you Jessica for everything!

What is their technique for getting their work done, while still having the time to spend pursuing hobbies and spending quality time with their friends and family? The truth is that great and lazy CEOs know a secret when it comes to time management. Rather than spending a little time on a lot of things, the best CEOs spend most of their time eliminating the single biggest constraint to the growth of their business.

Despite not liking the word lazy, this is a great book
Revisado: 02-09-22
I was reluctant to try this book, but I am trying to consume every book on leader ship that I can. As someone running a company who also has ADHD, serving those with ADHD, I am particularly sensitive to the word lazy. I am glad that I was able to look beyond that and give this book a chance. It’s packed full of great lessons and strategies.

Well written and insightful.
Revisado: 12-03-20
Will is not a professional. He is an adult living with ADHD who has worked with professionals, and now he is sharing what he continues to learn in this podcast. Each episode is well thought out, well written, and pretty short (about 15 minutes or so). While I am the creator of the ADHD reWired Podcast Network, and host of ADHD reWired, Will has 100% creative control, and I often find myself learning from him because of how he presents information. Oh, and I love the dad jokes!

You can probably skip the first half.

Unless you are completely green to this topic, or how thoughts and feelings work, you can skip the first half of this book.
It’s pretty basic stuff, but if that’s what you are looking for, try book.

Historia
Whether it's among colleagues at lunch or an audience of 1000, a leader's role is to move and inspire others. It's not only the big occasions that test a leader's mettle, but the little ones as well - in a casual conversation in the elevator, in phone calls, or one of many incidental, seemingly "insignificant" interactions in everyday work life. Written by one of the world's leading communications coaches, Speaking as a Leader shows you how to make the most of your daily communications.

Very Good content, Dry Delivery -> Sadly ironic.
Revisado: 04-17-15
This is the first book I listened at a faster rate, x1.25. The content in this book is excellent. I would not call this book inspirational. It will serve as a good how-to guide to help you improve your communication skills as a leader. You may want to begin with Simon Sinik's book, "Start with Why."

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.
