Satisfying conclusion

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and felt this book wrapped everything up quite nicely. It was entertaining the whole series through and i didn't feel like the story ended when the main couple got together, the plot was interesting enough that I wanted to keep listening, which isn't always the case with books in this genre.

Lost a night of sleep so I could keep listening

I was nervous after hearing all the reviews about the narrator with a cold, but I didn't hear her once clear her throat, sneeze, cough, or anything. She was a little congested at first, but that was the extent of it.

This story reminded me of Hunger Games but with dragons (in a good way). Loved the slow burn enemies to lovers and all the twists and turns. YA fantasy can be quite predictable, but this one had just enough originality where I felt I had my comfort food but got a little extra side dish thrown in too to mix it up.

Fascinating, horrific, educational.

I pretty much always avoid nonfiction as I find it too boring to grasp and hold my attention. However, this book's tale was too fascinating to ignore. The author did a good job of weaving facts with storytelling. The narrator came off very dry and took a while to get used to. It felt like listening to an episode of How Its Made for hours, but after a while I got used to the narrator's cadence and it didn't bother me as much.

Narrator had a tone that sounded like the trailer for an epic action movie throughout every scene which felt very odd at times, but overall was a great performance.
