Key read if your son is struggling in school

This was a great book to give some insight and actionable ideas on how to help my son. He is struggling with dyslexia. Which of course the school system won't diagnose as such or provide assistance with, they instead diagnose him as having ADD. I had a hunch his lack of motivation stemmed from his struggle to read more than him having ADD. After reading this book, I'm more convinced of this than ever and have already begun thinking of ways to work with him at home and with the school to see if we can make the upcoming school year better.

Horrible Narrative

Not as good the later books in the series

I'm glad I didn't start with this book or I may never have gone any further in the series. The overall story was ok, but it was more focused on making the team seem like a bunch of typical military hardasses with a tinge of sexism.
The narrarator was terrible and I can see why Scott Brick is the defacto narrator for CC books now.

Not the best follow up to the Language of Bees

I really enjoyed The Language of Bees. While the God of the Hive picks up where that former book left off, it does not continue with the same fast paced style you'd expect of Doyle. I found it left me interested but not engrossed.

Love the "journal-style" narrative of the book. It also has a good plot line that doesn't focus on the gore and disgust of zombies but progresses in a good manner.

The title. It is more of an autobiography than a guide to beer.
Has Drinking with George turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
What about George Wendt’s performance did you like?
He is certainly able to best bring out nuances in his meaning as he wrote the text. I always enjoy this aspect when the author also narrates.
