Historia
On a hot summer night, a scientist from the Centers for Disease Control is grabbed by unknown assailants in a shopping center parking lot. Vanished into thin air, the authorities are desperate to save the doctor. One month later, the serenity of a sunny Sunday afternoon is shattered by the boom of a ground-shaking blast - followed by another seconds later. One of Atlanta's busiest and most important neighborhoods - the location of Emory University, two major hospitals, the FBI headquarters, and the CDC - has been bombed.

My first of the Will Trent Series
Revisado: 10-22-19
I have never read any of the Will Trent series so starting at book 9 I was a little worried but I wasn't disappointed. I felt like I quickly knew what was going on so if this is your first don't worry! I have read many of Karin Slaughter's other books and this one wasn't as jaw dropping but it was still a great book with many unknowns and her signature cold chill moments!

Historia
Jane’s days at a Midwest insurance company are perfectly ordinary. She blends in well, unremarkably pretty in her floral-print dresses and extra efficient at her low-level job. She’s just the kind of woman middle manager Steven Hepsworth likes - meek, insecure, and willing to defer to a man. No one has any idea who Jane really is. Least of all Steven. But plain Jane is hiding something. And Steven’s bringing out the worst in her.

Not a thriller but still a good read.
Revisado: 06-12-19
The novel contained a lot of sexual scenes and had a very straight forward story line. You could see where she was going with the story but I enjoyed the different perspective of the characters. She did well defining the different characters and their mindset within the story.

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Not a thrill for me....
Revisado: 05-15-19
This book is nothing like Gone Girl. All the other reviews had this book all wrong in my eyes. I found nothing about this book thrilling or mysterious. I just kept waiting for something to happen. Yes there were moments of wait what did she say, but nothing I couldn't see coming.

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

I really tried to love the story.
Revisado: 04-23-19
The story started out slowly, and then continued that way. I enjoyed the characters but the story line never lived up to a good climax. I kept waiting for it and then by the end I knew where the author was going and was just bored. The ending was very predictable and lacked in detail and thrill.

I love Dan Brown's Novel but geez that perfomance
Revisado: 12-21-18
This book was so hard to listen to. The narrator was wonderful when he wasn't smacking his lips, drinking something, or taking extremely long pauses. I had never had such a hard time listening to a book. I had to finish it because this was the only Dan Brown book I hadn't read, but geez it was hard to finish. I would be sitting there listening then he would stop talking and I thought ok something has happened my phone must have died but then I would hear a loud throat swallow and then he would start up again.

More than expected!
Revisado: 12-21-18
This book was constant stimulation for the mind. You just kept getting hit with more and more suspense and drama, but with that being said the large drama filled moments were plentiful but slower descriptive moments dragged on. The end was yes a shock, but not the stomach tearing ending that I thought this book was going to have. I would recommend this book to a thriller lover.

On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

I love me some Gillian Flynn
Revisado: 09-18-18
I love to read Gillian Flynn. He always keeps me guessing and this story was no different. The performance was spectacular and gave the story even more heart. Not my favorite Gillian Flynn novel but diffidently a must read.

O Gillian Flynn, you did it again!
Revisado: 08-24-18
So I first fell in love with Gillian Flynn through his book Dark Places, but Sharp objects was just as nail biting. I love the realistic personalities and the imperfections that are so real you can taste them. The story line always get thrown a twist and I love how all of the little connections gather for a larger picture in the end. Love it!!

A thrilling novel that had me up all night!
Revisado: 08-03-18
To say that I was obsessed with this book is an understatement. I couldn't stop listening to it and I finished it quickly. The title was perfect for this book because the story was bone chilling and it takes you to the dark places within yourself that no one wants to admit to. You would read a chapter and then think damn..... damn..... wait what.... O Wow! I could never pinpoint what was going to happen and the ending really took your mind into a dark place of sorrow and revulsion . I love how the author exposed the teenage nature and all of it's trials. The links and strings that pulled this story together were woven beautifully within each character and the ending left no string unaccounted! It was enticing and eccentric!

Revisado: 07-02-18
This book was not your ordinary chapter book. There wasn't a set story line and I could never predict which way the story was going. I enjoyed being surprised by all of the characters and Circe herself. The narration was spectacular and matched the story perfectly. Definitely a must read!
