Why is the narrator reading this like a cross between a Bogart Private Dick character and Dr Seuss. He sounds like he doesn't know how to smack his lips much less smack somebody else's rear end. He emphasis the wrong words and has no idea how to pronounce the "tools" used in the scenes.

Bless His Heart... the male narrator is trying so hard to pull off a southern accent.... and failing horrifically. Someone needs to tell him to just not.

Good, but short.

Thank goodness it was free. This one is super short. I would have been very upset if I had used a 15$ credit on a $2.95 book. But it was decent. Not one of the authors best, but most definitely not the worst. Worth the listen.

this is actually just the first half of the story. The book opens with a hook, and the rest of the book is a flashback that you expect to lead up to the scene the book opened with. IT DOESN'T. You have to PURCHASE the next book to get to the scene in chapter one. it's chicken $#[+. Now I don't trust that any of the books will have an ending, or will leave me hanging. Bad ethics. they need to let you k ow that this is a Novela or that the book has multiple parts, otherwise I would have skipped reading this one. The good thing is that it is a romance novel... spoiler! The guy gets his girl and his girl is very satisfied... I know this, It's how they all end. So I won't be purchasing the next book.

The narrator completely ruined this book. I managed 4 chapters, and it was painful. I actually have read this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the narrators unnecessary exaggeration and inflection really changes and influences how the characters personalities are presented. buy the book and read it. Pass on the audio book.

Not worth it

This book was written at a 3rd grade vocabulary level. The plot is contrived and forced. The author is obligated to explain the characters motives constantly, as if they believe the motives and reactions are not the natural procession of the plot. The narrator is fine, just not my personal preference. it is very difficult to listen too. Nothing flows smoothly and the writing is patchie. I would not recommend the book to anyone.

Narrators could use some work

The female narrator always sounded angry or exasperated. The male narrator's angry came out as a whin. The ending was rushed. The story line was just eh.

only 9 chapters. 2 hrs long.

Save your money and credits. This one was thrown together quickly and it shows. Only 2 hours long and there is little to no storyline or character building. It is even less of a story line than the old Harlequin books.

I can't listen to her...

The narrator's emphatic and use of stressed/ extended syllabals to achievd a Brittish accent are too much. It is gratting and anoying to say the least. There is a reason this book is free. I was enjoying the story and plot. The book is fairly well written. However, the author did herself an injustice with this narrators. Enough so, that I am abandoning the audio version and actually purchasing the digital book.
