Wise and without hype.
Revisado: 09-02-24
If you’re looking for honest advice without influencer spin, this is the book for you. Not a bloated how to manual but rather a concise primer on what to expect and lookout for. I’ve consulted 1:1 with David and would recommend the same for anyone considering pursuing business acquisition.
Also, a tip of the hat to the narration, very well placed and pleasant to listen to. Major kudos to the author for going through the painstaking process, The impact of the work would not have been the same had he not.

Historia
Scott Adams has likely failed at more things than anyone you’ve ever met or anyone you’ve even heard of. So how did he go from hapless office worker and serial failure to the creator of Dilbert, one of the world’s most famous syndicated comic strips, in just a few years? In How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, Adams shares the strategy he has used since he was a teen to invite failure in, to embrace it, then pick its pocket.

Excellent Narration and Content
Revisado: 04-08-21
I typically prefer when authors narrate their own books. Even as a career voice actor myself, I find the author nearly always does a better job. This is an exception to that rule. The narration is technically excellent and the narrator is just a great fit for the content, which is also quite useful and interesting. I've listened to this book several times over the years.

All great leaders, thinkers, artists, athletes, and visionaries share one indelible quality. It enables them to conquer their tempers. To avoid distraction and discover great insights. To achieve happiness and do the right thing. Ryan Holiday calls it stillness - to be steady while the world spins around you. In this book, he outlines a path for achieving this ancient, but urgently necessary way of living.

Another Winner
Revisado: 10-19-19
Interesting, thoughtful content and a solid performance by Holiday. As a full time narrator myself, I notice his narration skills have improved considerably since his last book (which I also enjoyed) and let his fluidity in and passion for the subject show through clearly. If you are a fan of practical philosophy, this is top tier work, sure to be enjoyed.
