Historia
When a simple mix-up leaves their father Joe’s estate to Eden, their long-absent mother, Clare and Aaron decide it’s finally time to track Eden down. But it’s been over thirty years since she left their remote outback mining town, and they’ve never heard from her again. Aaron is dealing with a new marriage that’s currently trapped in immigration limbo, and his teenage daughter Cady is clearly going through a personal crisis of her own.

Entertaining reading with plenty keep you thinking

I enjoyed this book very much. The plot twists were great and kept me wondering at possibilities which did not happen predictably. I, too, am enjoying the visual picture of outback communities from the eyes of Australian authors..

Cavendish & Walker - a fabulous series
Revisado: 02-12-23
I loved this series, the development of all the characters and their very human foibles that I really enjoyed finding out more about as the series developed rang true with me. the interweaving of serial killer plots and serious crimes plus the anxt the plot twists gave the characters added to make the series one I have happily binge listened to without break. well done, Sally Rigby.

I have totally lost myself in listening to both of Kim Michele Richardson's The Bookwoman Of Troublesome Creek and her 2nd novel The Bookwoman's Daughter. The history in the stories brigh to light issues time immemorial for Women, especially Women of Colour that we still face today no matter how enlightened we may think we are.

Historia
A year has passed since LAPD detective Renée Ballard quit the force in the face of misogyny, demoralization and endless red tape. Yet, after the chief of police himself tells her she can write her ticket within the department, Ballard takes back her badge, leaving 'the Late Show' to rebuild the cold case unit at the elite Robbery-Homicide Division. For years, Harry Bosch has been working a case that haunts him but that he hasn't been able to crack—the murder of an entire family by a psychopath who still walks free. Ballard makes Bosch an offer.

Class all the way through. I love the way that Connelly has given the reader a clear but indirect understanding of how a beloved character solves his most haunting unsolved case and thus has a reason to retire into the sunset with his ghosts put to rest.

I loved this read. The characters were all so human and so very relatable and the trip north through the centre of our wide brown land visually appealing in the minds eye. Mercy's trip North and life journey through all the deepest anxieties to the understanding of who she is via a trip so far outside her comfort zone reached me at every level.
