Pretty Good. Not as good as the first book
Revisado: 02-19-25
This sequel is much like the first, a very historically grounded novel that makes for an entertaining but still plausible storyline. Though historically plausible I wasn't a huge fan of diving into the gay romantic elements, but despite my personal feelings on that it didn't ruin the plot overall and I would still recommend it.

My most missed podcast
Revisado: 10-24-23
Loved listening to this podcast, though it was more like listening to an audiobook than a podcast. Superbly well done and felt so true and organic to the Witcher universe. The story was great as well as the presentation and execution. As a Witcher junkie this was a staple for me. It got me into RPG tabletop games. Just wish it would have continued longer!

Team Yankee, the New York Times best-seller by Harold Coyle, presents a glimpse of what it would have been like for the soldiers who would have had to meet the relentless onslaught of Soviet and Warsaw Pact divisions. Using the geo-political and military scenarios described by General Sir John Hackett, former NORTHAG commander and author of World War Three; August 1985, Team Yankee follows the war as seen from the turret of Captain Sean Bannon's tank.

A very interesting and insightful collection of stories told by the people who experienced them. There are added sound effects sprinkled in or left in the audio recording but I didn't find them distracting like they can be in some audiobooks. If you enjoy true stories about the outdoors and the opportunity to possibly learn something from others unfortunate events this is the book for you.

Dale does it again!
Revisado: 06-18-22
Really enjoyed the story, it's a bit more James Bondish than the first book of this series but still focused on the paramilitary side of things and action. I thoroughly enjoy the narrator, giving a bit of flair to different characters but not going to over the top with it. While on the fringes I still think the plot lies in the realm of possibility even though not so much in probability. However it's a hell of a story that I enjoyed very much.

Couldn't put it down
Revisado: 01-06-22
It took a couple chapters but I stayed up late into the night listening a couple times because I just had to know how things ended up. The story while true is incredible and the narrator does a good job in the telling, nothing flashy but more than satisfactory.

Historia
Gunter K. Koschorrek was a machine-gunner on the Russian front in WWII. He wrote his illicit diary on any scraps of paper he could lay his hands on. As keeping a diary was strictly forbidden, he sewed the pages into the lining of his thick winter coat and deposited them with his mother on infrequent trips home on leave. The diary went missing, and it was when he was reunited with his daughter in America some 40 years later that it came to light and became Blood Red Snow.

incredible story
Revisado: 08-13-21
A truly remarkable story that I'm surprised anyone survived and is not often talked about, at least here in the US. My only complaint and it is a petty one, is that it seems to have been translated in 'british' rather than 'american'. I know only a little German but the translation seems at times almost comical to posh british phrases I've not heard the likes of in Deutsch.
