Absolutely fucking fantastic

The honors this book gets is well deserved, and the audiobook version does it such justice. Absolutely captivating from beginning to end. No word is fluff text, every beat and mention has a payoff. Everything is imagined beautifully.

Please download this book for your library, especially if you need some spooks this season.

The human sucks

The alien species, their culture, and their lives are the draw. Not Carter. Carter is white man soldier #870. Homophobic upbringing, semi close gay, toxic male identity, and just overall boringand cliche. The aliens are amazing, filled with personality, and their drama helped me finish this book. If there is a third book, though, I doubt Ill be buying it.

Joel can not save this story

Laat time I checked, being dominant is not a 1:1 ratio to being made of dick and sex jokes every other breath. Being dominant does not mean being egotistical, unapproachable, or being in the closet, or a stereotypical over sexed bisexual. Being dominant has nothing to do with these things but this book tries its damnest to try and sell you on this.

Its sales pitcted failed with me, even with Joel Leslie as the saleman. Sorry boo, you are still one of my favorite narrators. You did your best.

This feels like the sex scenes were written first, the story later, and, again, can not emphasize enough, just how irritating it is to have dominance boringly lumped into alphaness, because you can not possibly be dominant and also a decent person in romanceland.

Dont let the 10 hr display fool you

This isnt 10 hrs of principal/librarian power dynamic kink. This is 2 hrs of kink and 8 hrs of the biggest idiot to be deemed a librarian.The fact that she is a librarian is low hanging fruit compared to her horrible logic, low self esteem, obliviousness, truth stretching, and people pleasing.

Sexy librarian troupes have strong prudish women you have to woo with intellegence and wit to get between their legs and enjoy their wild sides. This woman only needs 5 shots and some gif pornography. She acts less like a mature woman and more like an undergrade or TEENAGER confused by her feelings for a much older man, and since there isnt an established age gap, or young/old, dynamic in this story, from what I could make out, I can only assume this is a woman in her mid 20s at least.

To top it off, that 1-2 hours of kink happens in the beginning of the 10 hrs. There isnt even any build up to it. The foreplay leading to the sex is hand waved. The rest is her downward spiral of anxiety and flondering and gun-jumping because she is a bundle of nerves without the ability to enjoy a taboo romance with a guy that, if allowed, would be an excellent dom.

Skip this one. Don't waste your time unless you enjoy listening to disasters that go on for way too long.

Are narrators told what the stories are that theyre reading prior to reading? These are horror stories.... the narrator might as well had been reading a silce of life YA novel with how casual his tone was. Not scary, not immersive, and not worth the money. Refunding.

A bit too racial fetish-y

The main character admits to preferring asian men, and anime and yaoi is mentioned one too many times in this two hour short. Not sure how I feel about that but discomfort is there and the story suffers for it. The main lover interest, however, was wonderfully voiced.

Just cringe. Cliche phrasing every other sentence, overdone characterizations, and uninspired motivations. It's not even really that sexy. It's white bread. Get yourself some rye or wheat bread novels and dont spend time on this.

Does better than other erotica/mature m/m

In 5 hours you will get a story that feels like it's from the age it strives for, deliciously gratifying sex scenes that are on point and not drawn out, and an actual compelling plot with two characters you'll give a shit about. In 5 hours. The crime here is that it's short, but longer books in the same genre feel like slogs of filler at times so perhaps I wont wish this was longer.

Top notch good shit here. Give it a go; it is definitely worth your time.

The narrator is also true to form and magnetic. Overall just good shit!

More 'pussy lips'

As which last season, this season is more of the same frustrating social circles that I had hoped would resolve themselves and branch out into new circles. But nope. Not only are the circles ever tightening, but has caused me to extremely dislike one Juliet. This woman is a manipulative self cenetered horror of emotionally bankrupting others in order to create a life where she doesnt take accountablity or compromise.

Steph and Dommie are about to come out, probably too soon for their comfort, maybe, because she has a bone to pick with a man who's on his death bed. 'Yeah take that daddy worsest lookit how awesome lesbians are!'

Cool Juliet. Great job. Keep digging that hole. Keep not spending time with your partner. Keep thinking youre the center of the universe while your best friend, single once more, is suffering. Keep trying to have a baby that you dont even really want behind your partner's back so you can stick it to your daddy again so you can prove another point in your head.

Get a pet. It's a human life, not a redemption ticket. This woman is the worst.

Granted the fact that Juliet is written this well enough for me to hate is a show of great solid writing. It's just frustratingly circular in its plot, but then again, this is a drama/soap opera. If that isnt your thing, just like 'pussy lips' to me will NEVER be a sexy description of the female genitalia, then turn around. Otherwise, give this a shot!
