Historia
In 1924, four-year-old Cecily Larson’s mother reluctantly drops her off at an orphanage in Chicago, promising to be back once she’s made enough money to support both Cecily and herself. But she never returns, and shortly after high-spirited Cecily turns seven, she is sold to a traveling circus to perform as the “little sister” to glamorous bareback rider Isabelle DuMonde. With Isabelle and the rest of the circus, Cecily finally feels she’s found the family she craves.

Anyway…
Revisado: 05-22-24
This was a lovely yet predictable story. The author needs to learn a new word to segway from one story to another. I wanted to scream every time I heard ANYWAY!!

Narration/Editing of Narration.
Revisado: 02-05-23
I like this narrator for some accents, particularly the various British accents. His American accent is awful. There is also a problem with volume. Not sure where the fault lies with that and Ash and Quill is the worst (so far). I found I had to adjust my volume frequently. Also, at 8:53, an error. Never have witnessed this. The narrator stops, says “sorry” then a beat later continues with the book.

Great story.
Revisado: 10-03-17
Although the prose was oftentimes corny, the story was very interesting, kept my attention and performed beautifully.

Beautifully written but boring.
Revisado: 03-25-17
Beautifully written but boring. I suppose I just need more action, so just not for me. Couldn't finish.
