Historia
The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

Excellent Story
Revisado: 03-06-22
Second time through the trilogy. Third book drags a bit but all in all excellent. Sanderson clearly plans ahead as there were few meaningful inconsistencies by the end. Just started the next three.

Historia
Sheriff Walt Longmire is enjoying a celebratory beer after a weapons certification at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy when a younger sheriff confronts him with a photograph of 25 armed men standing in front of a Challenger steam locomotive. It takes him back to when, fresh from the battlefields of Vietnam, then-deputy Walt accompanied his mentor Lucian to the annual Wyoming Sheriff's Association junket held on the excursion train known as the Western Star, which ran the length of Wyoming from Cheyenne to Evanston and back.

Simply Excellent

Best one yet. I’ve read them all so far, and in order and this story, although on the short side, is the best one yet.

Historia
Amos Decker and his FBI partner Alex Jamison are visiting his hometown of Burlington, Ohio, when he's approached by an unfamiliar man. But he instantly recognizes the man's name: Meryl Hawkins. He's the first person Decker ever arrested for murder back when he was a young detective. Though a dozen years in prison have left Hawkins unrecognizably aged and terminally ill, one thing hasn't changed: He maintains he never committed the murders. Could it be possible that Decker made a mistake all those years ago?

I’ve listened to all of these so far and this is the best Memory Man story so far. Excellent across the board.

Needed Editing
Revisado: 08-24-19
My big gripe with the story are the many convenient contrivances with no background and no explanation. Protector miraculously siphoning energy and the like. Nothing an editor couldn’t have caught. Story was pretty good, a 3, performance was better. This author needs an editor.

Too predictable
Revisado: 08-17-18
Technologically perfect and the reader was excellent but the story was entirely predictable. Adding to that, Jack Ryan Jr. made dumb mistakes throughout yet somehow always overcame his own mistakes detracted from the usually compelling story that made Clancy stories a must read.
